I hope this isn't going to turn into a problem.

I've just gone to print my calendar for next week (which MM has already done here) and I've noticed that they have moved the FX Power Charts on the Daily FX website from a folder called "fxpowerchart" to a folder called "charts". The move seems to have caused all of the stored settings to be lost. Presumably the settings were stored in a cookie somewhere, but I can't even find the cookie in question.

At the moment it looks like I'm going to have to re-input of all my settings again, unless anyone here has got any ideas??????????? I guess there must be others here in the same boat even if they don't realise it yet.

They seem to have restructured things such that the pathnames on the site are relative -- gave me a bit of a fright on Friday, not to say a headache reconstructing it. Very cavalier of them to treat it as though it's their site to do as they wish with.

I didn't realize they'd screwed other things up, though. Somebody new maintaining the site, perhaps.

I see what you mean Hilary. Very inconvenient to say the least.

Hil, Harlosh and any others affected by the Dailyfx website changes -- may I suggest that you email Kathy Lien (klien@dailyfx.com) about your problems -- she was very helpful to me the last time that they screwed up.

Good morning all,can some one confirm please that cable has not touched 1.778 in the last 24 hours,i have major problem because a contract i had has been taken out on a spike up about 2.00 this morning,all my charts are saying this has not happened !!!!

I re-inputted my settings on Monday. Decided to use the opportunity to prune the charts back a bit and get rid of a few things that I didn't really use. I probably had too much on there anyway and simplest is nearly always best, imo. I can see them a bit clearer this morning.

Mega, certainly see no evidence of cable having touched 1.778 in the last 24 hours. In fact, I have a high for yesterday as 1.7446.

klal,many thanks,i have just looked at BOM chart and they have a spike about 2.05 with a spike up yo 1.7790 which has taken a contract out,also i had another s&p contract taken out on friday,the bleedin market was not even open on friday,trust me i am going to give them f*****g s**t this am.

Mega, bit concerned that BOM are indulging in this kinda practice. Has this happened before? Do let us know the outcome of your discussion with them. Hope all goes well.

Mega - yesterday's high was actually 1.7746 and not 1.7446 as I had indicated earlier. Apologies for the error - but still well below 1.7780.

klal,no this is the 1st time this has happened,and the outcome is still to early because they aint answered the phone yet,but trust me when i do get through they will remember me !!!

I've got 1.7747 through eSignal currency feed and no untoward spikes, but the 6B M6 futures have a high of 1.7764. Maybe that is what they will argue, but it certainly wasn't 7780.

Blimey, didn't expect to see that gap up on cable last night!

Looking at my hourlys again, I can see a definate uptrend for the last 4 weeks or so. It's now sitting just below my bullish resistance line. Will it bounce off or shoot through this line?

I lost my saved settings on fxpowercharts about 10 days ago and spent half an hour setting them up and saving them again, (under a different filename) but the following day they were back (and no sign of the new filename saved). At the time I thought it was Bill Gates fault, but aparrently not.

Mega you know that BOM have their own interpretation of the data and use a mixed data feed. Although they go on at length about filtering out spikes. I have found that they are often several pips different to fxpowercharts on fiber and cable. (the highest on fxpowerchart 5 min was 1.7747 at 15:55 BST) On Capital Spreads it was 1.7747 15:55 BST on the 1 min chart.

I use http://www.livecharts.co.uk/MarketCharts/futsee.php for the FTSE (also for live Gold and Brent prices) and again BOM are often different by 4 or more pips.

Best of luck they (BOM) have been very slow to reply to my queries.

Just had a look at the tick chart on Capital spreads and at 02:17:01 this moring it reached 1.7729. I can send you a screenshot if you like.

rpaco,i aint a happy camper today thats for sure,i was happy using them till this weekend,but they also stopped me out on a s&p contract at 7.55 on a saturday night,me thinks there is something wrong !!!
At the moment i have 2 complaints in the pipeline via telephone and email,they are investigating and hope to get back to me later.

I will keep you posted.
