Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

Mick,

If you refresh the screen on L2 it should now show as the correct price of 180.

Cheers Ian

Just need 1.80 on the bid now and it'll be 2.20 before I know it :>)

Not urgent - just mentioning in passing that this chart appears to have a dodgy data point:

Edit - thanks for fixing this Ian - StonyB (Fri 23 feb)

Stony,

it should now be fixed

Ian

Thanks for the info, strange though it appears.

I may be alone, or there may be others of a like mind, in thinking that ETFs will become increasingly more popular, particularly in these 'Tax wrapper' portfolios, so getting to understand them & to believe the data, is important.

Another aspect that one has to get to grips with is the effect of exchange rates as those I have looked at are priced ion USDs.

I still have positions in BULL & CRUD. If anything unusual haapens when I sell I will let you know!

Ian,
Since this thread asks for enhancements as well as bugs and complaints...........
Would it be possible, and a good idea, if you could incorporate news releases onto the historical charts. Just flag them up somehow?
This would automatically show news of any great importance and its effect on the SP.
Just a thought.

Alan,

nice idea - I will pass it onto our tech boys for possible future development.

Did I mention my copyright???

Bolshi - 22 Feb 2007 12:49 - 5446 of 7315

Shares Mag Digital Edition.

I have clicked F11 as requested to obtain full page viewing but when I move mouse cursor to bottom of screen to click on the bar (forward and back arrows, page 1/114 stuff) my normal desktop taskbar comes up and obliterates it so cannot perform the action.

edit : works well without the F11 button being pressed

edit 2 : Love the new look!!

edit 3 : This is what it always should have been like! Tube of Smarties to the people behind it!

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Feb 2007 12:57 - 5447 of 7315

Bolshi,

due to settings on my machine I cannot re produce that, but will pass your comments onto our tech guys to have a look,

Ian

Bolshi - 22 Feb 2007 13:03 - 5448 of 7315

Ian. All it needs (under F11 working) is for the bottom task bar (of Shares Mag) to be moved up a 1/2" on the screen.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Feb 2007 13:09 - 5449 of 7315

Bolshi,

thanks for that - do you have the auto hide function activated on your toolbar?

Ian

Bolshi - 22 Feb 2007 13:30 - 5450 of 7315

Ian. No.
But have Taskbar locked and Keep Taskbar on top clicked

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Feb 2007 13:32 - 5451 of 7315

Bolshi,

That would explain it - its the keep task bar locked setting which causes the problem. The F11 is a Browser function, but if the task bar is locked it will stay there and as you say obscure the bottom of the page. I have passed your comments on.

Stan - 22 Feb 2007 17:38 - 5452 of 7315

Ian,

Just tried the Morning Market Report, all I get Is the window. pressing all the buttons achieves nothing. I only want the audio as i'm on dial up.

Do I assume that the facility runs out after a certain time in the day?

Stan.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 23 Feb 2007 07:31 - 5453 of 7315

Stan,

The morning report should be replaced by the evening report at around this time. We will take a look at this.

Ian

Edit: Stan there does appear to have been an issue with yesterdays evening report not updating this has now been resolved.

Kyoto - 25 Feb 2007 00:51 - 5454 of 7315

This should be a bug but I fear it isn't. I was trying to look up some news from Friday here and it's just a blank page now. In fact all the news from Friday has gone already, so if I want to look up stories such as this, I have to find them on ADVFN here because their news archive goes back years.

So, bug or otherwise can anyone from MoneyAM tell me what the retention is on AFX and other news stories from the news feeds?

Photomad - 26 Feb 2007 10:43 - 5455 of 7315

Ian

I have mentioned this before, intraday charts and the prices shown.

LLOY is one today,it is incorrect as the price has never been as low as around 571 1/2 which is indicated.

Perhaps you could look at this again.

Regards
