THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

https://yougov.co.uk/news/2015/01/07/voters-expect-conservative-victory/

What does it mean if Labour leads in the polls and yet voters expect them to lose?

In spite of the current consensus among professional pollsters that Labour will have the most seats after the next election, a YouGov poll conducted for Red Box reveals that the public still believes the Conservatives will end up the winners. Among Conservative voters, the proportion who believe their party will win is 72 to 7, among Labour voters it is 57 to 15, while both Lib Dems and Ukip supporters (by margins of 54 to 5 and 36 to 10 respectively) believe that the Conservatives will end up ahead.

Conservatives and Labour tied

Latest YouGov / The Sun results 6th January -

Con 33%, Lab 33%, LD 7%, UKIP 13%, GRN 8%;

Nice trends

"That’s a couple of YouGov polls in a row showing lower than usual UKIP scores, despite the shift in prompting. Today’s is the lowest UKIP score that YouGov have had since early October. It’s just two polls so may be pure co-incidence, but worth keeping an eye on."

Watching.

Wriggles Davy Cameron lying his way through PMQs.

The birds are coming home to roost.

Tory destruction of Social Care to pay for tax cuts for his pals showing the cracks in his economic policies.

He and this company is an embarrassment to this country.

He is prepared to wreck the NHS to give handouts to his pals perhaps for donations to party tory funds.

http://news.sky.com/story/1403662/gunmen-hunted-after-11-killed-at-paris-magazine

Eleven people have been shot dead at the headquarters of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris, say police.

Two masked gunmen are reported to have stormed the offices of the controversial publication, which has previously been attacked over its portrayal of the Prophet Mohammed.

They are believed to have been armed with Kalashnikov rifles and a rocket-propelled grenade.

A manhunt is under way for the killers, who escaped after a shootout in the street with police.

A dramatic photograph has been published in Le Monde newspaper of two gunmen dressed in black, apparently pointing their weapons at a police car.

The dead are believed to include two police officers. Four people have also been critically injured.

Ambulances are at the scene.

According to reports, three officers had initially arrived on pushbikes, but left when they realised how heavily-armed the raiders were.

The gunmen are believed to have left several minutes later and attempted to car-jack a vehicle.

Benoit Bringer, a journalist with Agence Premiere Ligne who saw the attack, told the iTele network he saw several masked men armed with machine guns.

Henry Samuel, the Daily Telegraph's Paris correspondent, told Sky News: “According to people on the ground, two masked gunmen burst into the offices very heavily armed, (with) Kalashnikovs, apparently even with a rocket-propelled grenade, and opened fire, leaving several minutes later.

“Somebody who was nearby on the roof and saw much of the incident said three policemen then arrived on a pushbike.

Napoleon.

I hope the figures that Cameron quotes on Nurses and Doctors recruitment over last 6 months are examined.

How many are agency "nurses and doctors".

How many are scanty hours.

(4-8 hours per week.)

How many of those new "staff" are on the move from one Hospital or Surgery to another on daily or weekly hours. (Little or no ongoing responsibility.)

Why are there so many agency "staff" employed.

After 4 years of tory management and Lansley reforms.

Cameron is getting a deserved caning.

Even the set up questions from his own party are being fluffed.

I think he needs a shower.

do you think he was abandoned ? or its owner just got on the train and forgot about him. He looks so sad ,bless him

Haystack - 07 Jan 2015 12:39 - 54447 of 81564

PMQs were good today. Miliband missed his target once again. Labour may well complain about the running of A&E, but the waiting times are far worse in Wales where Labour run the NHS. The same applies in Scotland. If Labour ran all the NHS we would be in a much worse situation.
