THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

He got carried away with his own importance years ago and as a Scot I could cheerfully have killed him when Andy Murray won the Wimbledon title and Salmond stood behind Cameron in the stands waving the Scottish flag over his head!

Getting back to the child abuse cover up, what names have been "floated", politicians and others?

Fred1new - 08 Jan 2015 23:44 - 54667 of 81564

Stan.

I don't know.

But I know who was supposed to be in charge of the Home Office when the records were lost and also who was PM at the time.

MaxK - 08 Jan 2015 23:54 - 54668 of 81564

A politically charged hand grenade has been thrown into the general election debate on the NHS after the healthcare company Circle said it planned to pull out of its contract to manage Britain’s first privately run hospital, Hinchingbrooke in Cambridgeshire.

Circle Holdings issued a statement to the London Stock Exchange blaming funding cuts, a surge in demand for accident and emergency services and a failure to deliver “joined up” reform between health and social services. It said the company had entered into discussions with the NHS Trust Development Authority “with the view to ensuring an orderly withdrawal from the current contract”.

Shortie - 09 Jan 2015 10:31 - 54678 of 81564

Tanker when the police become armed as standard then so will the people... To arm these people wou only cause far more problems than are resolved.

TANKER - 09 Jan 2015 10:54 - 54679 of 81564

its funny our cowards become brave with a gun they are just cowards and would never fight without one ,

TANKER - 09 Jan 2015 10:55 - 54680 of 81564

shortie we must arm our police and if some one as a gun shoot on site

doodlebug4 - 09 Jan 2015 10:59 - 54681 of 81564

You are right Shortie, this country would then become exactly the same as America.

Fred1new - 09 Jan 2015 11:13 - 54682 of 81564

It is surprising how often the bigger the guns a country has, is how self-righteousness the members of that country gets!

Fred1new - 09 Jan 2015 11:35 - 54683 of 81564

"There's a breathless hush in the Close to-night—
Ten to make and the match to win—
A bumping pitch and a blinding light,
An hour to play and the last man in.
"

Ain't it quiet!
