Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

Tanker when the police become armed as standard then so will the people... To arm these people wou only cause far more problems than are resolved.

You are right Shortie, this country would then become exactly the same as America.

It is surprising how often the bigger the guns a country has, is how self-righteousness the members of that country gets!

"There's a breathless hush in the Close to-night—
Ten to make and the match to win—
A bumping pitch and a blinding light,
An hour to play and the last man in."
Ain't it quiet!

Anjem Choudary on the Charlie Hebdo attacks:
'Muslims do not believe in the concept of freedom of expression'
In the aftermath of yesterday's terrorist attack, the radical cleric wrote an open letter saying that Muslims don't believe in free speech

Thursday 08 January 2015
After yesterday's Paris shooting, in which four journalists on satirical publication Charlie Hebdo were killed, Muslim activist Anjem Choudary has written an open letter entitled 'People Know The Consequences'.
In the letter, which was published by USA Today, Choudary says: "Contrary to popular misconception, Islam does not mean peace but rather means submission to the commands of Allah alone. Therefore, Muslims do not believe in the concept of freedom of expression, as their speech and actions are determined by divine revelation and not based on people's desires."

Tanker we already have a corrupt police force, I wouldn't go arming them also. If the police carry guns then so would more criminals and so would more normally law abiding people. As a result more shootings would occur... We'd achieve nothing by doing this

Strange how the Koran and Bible's "myths and fables" can be interpreted according to the individual's "perceived needs".
=====
Is the media's coverage of the various sieges and actions in France stimulating, propagation, or "enhancing" the "extremists" and encourage "imitators" to perpetrate similar actions?

I suppose its the same freedom of speech that makes me find Anjem Choudary offensive that the Kouachi brothers found in Charlie Hebdo... What this prise nutter doesn't say though is that what a majority might take offence to only a small minority will murder over.
"Muslims do not believe in the concept of freedom of expression" he said, this is clearly an attempt to create a divide, this man doesn't speak for all Muslims, he doesn't speak for most of them, he speaks only for a few idolised Muslims and in all honesty I'm surprised The Independant printed this storey knowing that they would be fanning the flames and adding to the divide...

Shortie,
I am dyslexic and rely on my spelling checker routinely. Almost as far as writing my own name.
The word processor liberated me.
But I wish they wouldn't question S and want to turn it to Z.
