Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

I'm sure your very good at spotting Muslims too, last I heard they came in all shapes, sizes and colours so who knows where one might turn up!! As a precaution though I think I'll shave my beard off tonight and buy a St Christopher to wear round my neck...

Like you Fred I have been watching various News stations , and can't help thinking some must get turned on by what they see . They give out endless info , expert after expert comes on giving their two bobs worth , telling us now that the authorities must now be stretched and this must be the aim of these people . God help us if the can't cope with these incidents . I can't help but think uses are made of this coverage , to our detrimental effect.

the incidents are comparatively easy to deal with ..... it's preventing them that is the perpetual challenge ...... now then, who would like to curtail the abilities of GCHQ and similar bodies to snoop and similar? ..... and of course assange has also been of immeasurable benefit to those who wish ill on our society

When they have hostages.
uummmhh.
Depends on the number of mosquitos.
-------
It isn't the snooping which is the problem, but the possible "misuse" which is the problem. (defined by whom, STAZI, KGB standards) .
The other problem with snooping in internet is concerned is that it continues to move and modify encryption rapidly and from one country to another.
Also, it is not the only way of delivering planning.
Another is the cost.
Cutting off the source of funding of "terrorist or liberating" forces is possibly a route to investigate. Probably, already is being done.
Difficult.

PS.
Snooping, under its pretext, may encourage more "industrial" snooping than happens already.
Down playing the reporting by the media may be a route.
But the countries where the "terrorism" initiates may "publicise" the "events" and compare "civil liberties angle" of the information services with those of the "suppressors".
It is a b----g--r.

Even if you identify them and want to take action the EU's laws on Human Rights make things difficult as is in the case of Abu Qatada. The first stage in dealing with terrorists is to exit the EU so we can then have our own laws to deal with radicals.

That will certainly help co-ordination of security services and interchange of police information etc..
Probably, better to put up a barb wire fence around the UK.
Forgot they have planes now.

How the Criminal minds work eh . Last night I was going through the News channels , and only on RT did I see the report on the criminals from ROMANIA and BULGARIA who flew over to Britain groups of gangs who burgled stole etc , then returned back to their country on the cheap flights before their crimes were discovered . They rotate these people , they have no records of them entering so cannot find them , quite worrying .But the British gangs are getting in on the act by using these same types of people to do their dirty work for them . Is this what right to roam has done for us . This is as well as them flying from Romania on cheap flights to sign on get their benefits and fly back home , as I was informed last week . Sickening isn't it .

I would hate to have Miliband as PM if we had a security crisis. He inspires no confidence and seems like he would freeze like a rabbit in the headlights. Even his own colleagues have complained about his indecision.
