Maggot - 29 Apr 2004 22:31 - 5486 of 23498

I see in the Investment Game I am a little below our little willy. Looks Like, as usual, I'm going to be p*****d on from a great height!

Hi, Zarif. How are the new indicators going? Haven't been playing Forex so much recently as I can't seem to see a strong trend.

little willie - 29 Apr 2004 22:49 - 5487 of 23498

Maggot, suggest an umbrella as we're still in April so showers are a possibility and according to Kayak [above] golden rain is a distinct probability!!

Enjoy your new indicators; I prefer the old type where the whole illuminated amber arm came out of the side of the car.

Ho hum, orf to bed; night night all......

amberjane - 29 Apr 2004 23:46 - 5488 of 23498

Evening, now who mentioned my name?

Thought I'd step in and say 'Hi' as I'd been invited but you've all gone to bed!!! Just as well as I was invited for chocolate and I've had my 3 bars today (although I was very generous and shared ONE bar- and a gready gannet ((who u know but shall remain nameless at present)) stole the 2nd).

Now I know u dont know me yet so I can only assume that is why u (GD) didn't invite me to join in with the baby oil, of course you may also be greedy and have used it all?

I'm very much an evening drinker so I'm a bit worried some of you start sooo early, and so as not to get in bad habits I will NOT be joining any early birds and will finish my Baileys in a mo. Of course I may bump into some of you coming in as I'm leaving when I have my late lock ins, do u allow this?

Nity nite.

dotel - 29 Apr 2004 23:49 - 5489 of 23498

Thanks jj - I wouldn't have mentioned it, only I didn't want to miss the opportunity of a frothy rub. And, gd...very - up to the armpits. Opto were you seeing double this morning?

Socrates - 29 Apr 2004 23:58 - 5490 of 23498

Kayak

Thank you, a most interesting explanation. It's amazing what you can learn from the internet. Much better than Jeffmacks response but then he's probably been at the Bods again!

I'm going to have to go to bed now. It's the thought of Dotel and the frothy rub that's done it. Unfortunately I've got to the age where it takes all night to do what I used to do all night. Mind you, some ladies like that, so I'm told.

Good night lovely people.

Psst. Vasey, your bubbly is hidden in the bottom of the cooler, behind the sherry trifle.

MightyMicro - 30 Apr 2004 00:01 - 5491 of 23498

Am I too late for a glass of the house claret?

optomistic - 30 Apr 2004 09:57 - 5492 of 23498

Dotel, not sure if it was the rush in the morning or it may have been I just had the two of you on my mind :-)) wonder if anyone else noticed the not deliberate mistake before I edited it.
Out again now, just for an hour this time, horrible weather here in Yorks, cold and miserable.

snoball - 30 Apr 2004 11:14 - 5493 of 23498

Mornin'.
Chuckin' it down here.
I think a coffee and some doughnuts are in order.
I'll start on the alcohol in about an hour.

My diy session on my floor will soon be finished.
The floor is sanded and varnished - used a water based varnish which is very easy to apply and doesn't smell. I am fitting scotia strips to fill the gaps between the skirting board and the floor. This is proving to be a bit fiddly for an incompetent like myself. But I will win in the end. I have to resolve a dilemma though. Should I paint the scotia the same as the skirting board (white) or varnish it the same as the floor?
Answers on a postcard please.

stockbunny - 30 Apr 2004 11:34 - 5494 of 23498

Morning!
Had loads of boring reality stuff to do yesterday hence my
absence Opto - I was getting soaked walking round the shops
buying various 'oddments' which I wont go into!!

Kir Royale...can't give any great ideas for that (never had it)
the virtual bunny tends to get 'ratted' but the real one doesn't
drink much - however the Cab Sauv' is a favourite in both worlds!!
I'd eat whatever you fancy with it, as long as of course he doesn't
mind you doing so......(giggle)

Ok Friday for lunch........
hmmmmm.....

As it's a Fry-day and to keep the gentlemen happy the menu is as follows:

Seafood platter, chips and peas or green salad.

Venison sausages. new potatoes and peas or green salad.

Steak again with the same side order choices above.
(Usual criteria - tell the chef if its rare (still breathing)
medium (still twitching) or well-done (oven-ready for the crematorium)

Followed by:
Rice pudding ala Jeffius (jam optional)
Sherry Trifle ala Socco
Chocolate mousse ala Little Woman
Champagne jelly with raspberry colie & cream ala Vasey.

optomistic - 30 Apr 2004 12:32 - 5495 of 23498

Will try the steak Bunny but could I have it 'just normal' please.
Champagne jelly etc sounds nice or alt chocolate mousse has always been one of my favorites, better still could I have a little of each please?

stockbunny - 30 Apr 2004 14:15 - 5496 of 23498

Opto - You'll have to have a chat with the chef, cos he's
not sure if 'normal' is medium or well-done (I was no help
cos I said to him 'normal' was running about in a field and
he spent 2 hours chasing after it trying to balance the chips
on its back!!)

two helpings of dessert? - no problem - no rationing here!!!!

optomistic - 30 Apr 2004 14:23 - 5497 of 23498

Bunny, its this medium and still twitching that I couldnt cope with. If he is very set in his ways I think we will have to look for a new chef!!

stockbunny - 30 Apr 2004 14:36 - 5498 of 23498

I've told him medium for you but to ensure he has hit
it sufficiently with the mallet that it wont twitch...That OK?

optomistic - 30 Apr 2004 14:40 - 5499 of 23498

Thanks Bunny I'm going to plant some lettuce in the greenhouse now :-))

snoball - 30 Apr 2004 14:46 - 5500 of 23498

Is it lunch time?
Steak for me chef - medium (I think) with lotsa chips and a green salad.
Followed by sherry trifle.
I'll see if I can find some of vasey's champagne. Oh, look! what's this behind the freezer?

little woman - 30 Apr 2004 14:50 - 5501 of 23498

Afternoon all - todays too much like drawing teeth. I think I need something stronger in my coffee....

jj50 - 30 Apr 2004 14:56 - 5502 of 23498

Rather late for lunch but can you still take an order please bunny? Steak please (still breathing!) and choc mousse a la Little Woman washed down with a glass of Cab Sauv would just make my Friday perfect. Help to compensate for the miserable weather and the equally miserable FTSE.

Snoball I don't know what colour the scotia is now (having never heard of a scotia!) but would have thought to go for the colour of the skirting board might be best. My experience with varnish on different surfaces can be a pretty mixed result - but maybe that's the way I apply it - good luck anyway!!

stockbunny - 30 Apr 2004 14:56 - 5503 of 23498

ANL is the only bright spot in my portfolio today - bought in when
it dropped on the basis at some stage it would rise again, but still
got a little way to go!
How's the DOW doing? - I can't seem to get the indices up.....

jj50 - 30 Apr 2004 15:04 - 5504 of 23498

10305 up 33.5 so lets hope FTSE gets lift!

stockbunny - 30 Apr 2004 15:05 - 5505 of 23498

Just got the indices up - DOW looks positive, so maybe we
will have a late surge on the FTSE.
