THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

sounds good tv, but puerperal (childbed) fever was primarily caused through lack of hygiene

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2015 15:43 - 54949 of 81564

When was washing of hands advocated in "obstetrics, or midwifery".

Or in other areas of medicine and surgery!

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2015 15:50 - 54952 of 81564

Who employed you?

How many peanuts a day did you get?

I can see why you became a boss, somebody was bound to listen to you!

Inflation is now at the lowest level on record. This means that wages will be rising must faster than prices. Also no chance of interest rate rises.

cynic - 13 Jan 2015 16:11 - 54959 of 81564

.

cynic - 13 Jan 2015 16:11 - 54960 of 81564

latter yes, but former not necessarily

sticky - are you throwing in the sponge yet about "guaranteed rate increases before the election"?

Haystack - 13 Jan 2015 16:12 - 54961 of 81564

I remember gf giving up that recently and admitting that you were right all along.

2517GEORGE - 13 Jan 2015 16:21 - 54962 of 81564

It does seem that the only way UK interest rates will rise in the medium term is if there is a run on the £. So the consumer appears to have an edge atm, what with fuel, (small) wage increases and no mortgage rises. Will the feel good factor come quick enough for the Tories?

If the public realise the problems the Tories are stacking up. NO!

doodlebug4 - 13 Jan 2015 16:43 - 54964 of 81564

gf aka sticky is too busy carrying on his running battles with various posters on another bulletin board. Some things never change.

cynic - 13 Jan 2015 16:44 - 54965 of 81564

no one else will have me, so i stick with this one :-)

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2015 16:47 - 54966 of 81564

Fred1new - 13 Jan 2015 16:52 - 54967 of 81564
