Thanks go to Irpy on advfn for putting some guesstimates into the projected fundamentals:

"I guess 40m market cap is not too unreasonable in the medium term.

A very rough estimate assumes that the US market would amount to, say $17.5m, or 17.5 / 1.9 (exchange rate) = 9.2m, (average of last MDW estimate)and allow 1/2 as much again for everything else (pure guess).

Therefore, annual sales are expected to be 1.5x 9.2m = 13.8m. Since the p/e ratio is nonsensical atm, take the market cap to be 3x annual sales forecast = 41.4m.

The no. shares in circulation is about 91m and so the SP would be 41.4 / 91 = 0.45 or 45p.

Current price is 7.25p which makes this a potential 45 / 7.25 = 6.2 bagger medium term, imo."

It'n not just MDW, there is excellent news coming out with some minors at the moment with very little trading activity, my guess is that it's a very quiet period before Xmas and we will see rises in the new yr on the stocks that have announced good news and value improvements. Take a look at OXB this morning, excellent news but no buying, it's really odd. But I have noticed this before and then, a few days later, woosh, buying pushes it up once realised it's totally overlooked. 30p next yr will not be a surprise to me and i'm happy to be picking these up at the lows

overgrowth - 13 Dec 2004 20:50 - 57 of 274

robstuff - I agree - too many folks with other things on their minds at this time of year, I would guess.

The start of the New Year really makes you look closely at what you think is going to be THE share (or shares) to own for the next 12 months plus.

MDW have stacks of great newsflow to come, considering what they've achieved in 2004 - 30p+ here we come.....

robstuff - 16 Dec 2004 12:11 - 58 of 274

MDW should do well in the new year, I am taking advantage of this ridiculous low price as I firmly believe 20-30p easily achieved in the short term. It only needs one publication to tip them and whoosh! as it's capitalised so low, could easily double in a day, go up 4 times the value if more articles/good news. This co's share price has underperformeddue to the delay in the BIG contract but now all obstacles removed this co's sp is like a champagnes cork waiting to be released and explode upwards.

robstuff - 16 Dec 2004 17:44 - 59 of 274

Someone knows a good thing when they see it - need a few more of those (a deal will be announced any day so this price won't be available for long)

scotinvestor - 16 Dec 2004 20:10 - 60 of 274

did anyone notice big 100, 000 trade at 4.29pm!!!!!!!

whats going on. An announcement tomorrow perhaps

overgrowth - 16 Dec 2004 20:39 - 61 of 274

Seems very early for a US distribution deal annoucement, may be further good news on the PSA point of care system being developed - or approval from the Chinese authorities to sell into China and Hong Kong.

Of course, it could be another investor like ourselves suddenly cottoning on to Mediwatch's huge potential.

There's going to be solid flow of good news with MDW in 2005 and robstuff is not wrong with 20-30p being achieved easily.

I've topped up as much as I need to, so from here on in I'm going to enjoy the ride.

parveen1 - 16 Dec 2004 21:53 - 62 of 274

Joined into MDW today bought 20k at 6.45p, great price cosidering i was so close to buying at 7.61p a few days earlier
Will top up more as it moves along.
Hope this does well for me just like RTD.

Good Luck all

overgrowth - 16 Dec 2004 22:45 - 63 of 274

RTD is storming away, but they have loads of shares to trade. When the good news comes out for MDW and the MM's get swamped with buys (with a relatively small amount in circulation) and can't buy any back themselves, the price will go into orbit!

Welcome parveen1 - you won't regret this move.

If you're interested, the CEO, Philip Stimpson, gave a terrific interview a couple of years ago to The Wall Street Transcript (http://www.twst.com/notes/articles/lxs018.html) - though you need to subscribe to see the full article.

Here he outlined in detail the company's strategy going forward over the next few years. It all seemed very ambitious at the time, however I have watched closely as the board have achieved target after target towards their ultimate goal to become a global leader in urological diagnostic equipment and point of care testing systems for urology and a variety of other fields.

Mediwatch are on the cusp of becoming really big - it's great to be in just before the major turning point, but it still amazes me how investors are happy to sit on the sidelines and see the really good prices pass them by.

At least it will leave a few folks to buy in at 30p, 50p, 1 etc. lol!

scotinvestor - 16 Dec 2004 23:23 - 64 of 274

yeah i'm in RTD, MDW and PXC as my main small companies. Think all 3 will be great in next couple of years. Or Even sooner

john50 - 17 Dec 2004 08:21 - 65 of 274

I took the first trade of 50k at 5.45.

rvitler - 17 Dec 2004 08:44 - 66 of 274

I'm in too, I can't believe it's so overlooked.. but for how long

Oakapples142 - 17 Dec 2004 10:47 - 67 of 274

Me too another top up - I now have some much "Health Stock" thats is become Unhealthy !!

robstuff - 17 Dec 2004 11:27 - 68 of 274

Seems to be a lot more interest again, welcome back everyone and to new holders, you're in at a great price and we'll all be sitting pretty next month. It only needs one magazine/paper to write an article which they normally do this time of yr to really get this co. noticed and the sp will treble in no time.

john50 - 17 Dec 2004 11:52 - 69 of 274

I have been in and out for a year now, i certainly would not like to be out now holding now for 1.

scotinvestor - 17 Dec 2004 19:45 - 70 of 274

some decent volume today

overgrowth - 17 Dec 2004 19:50 - 71 of 274

scotinvestor - it'll take a while, though it's already starting to dawn on other folks that this is a share about to rocket skywards (and stay there!), no all hype tech./oil stock spikes with these guys.

MDW's board have been slogging away for the past 5 years+ to make a great company - they are now on the cusp of reaping the rewards of their efforts (and so are us shareholders).

robstuff - 20 Dec 2004 08:47 - 72 of 274

Nice timing for this excellent bit of news and with a major contract just round the corner, we have all got in at rock bottom, on to 15p very quickly and beyond.

john50 - 20 Dec 2004 09:01 - 73 of 274

Got a 50k top up at 7.06 second trade this am.

proptrade - 20 Dec 2004 10:32 - 74 of 274

i have to say that i have been watching this for a while and read the RNS and for the record this guy Kirby is the top dog. He operated on my father this year (after my father researched who was the top specialist) and he was great.

just thought i would pass on that useless bit of info!

out of interest what are the current/projected sales of this product?
