PCM..Deals in China (PCM)

dynamicsoul - 17 Feb 2005 16:11

Time to stand up and be counted in my opinion..

news is turning positive here...wontg be long before sentiment drives this one up..........

kimoldfield - 28 Apr 2006 16:26 - 550 of 572

Alan/Driver
I only had 1m shares and was fortunate enough to make a small profit on my 500k sale, otherwise I would probably have hung on to all the shares, I can't find any serious reason to justify selling the remainder, this is more of a long term play now, risky of course, but with what I hold it is hardly going to bankrupt me! SEO next week to cheer us up!!!!

A 30% drop and no big sells some punters have millions of these looks like most are hanging on.

m0dulus - 28 Apr 2006 17:32 - 552 of 572

What the HELL happened...when i went out sp was up ~17% then i come back and now down ~30%....can anyone shed some light.

driver - 28 Apr 2006 17:36 - 553 of 572

m0dulus -
Basically we still havent gone into profit and the sit-up deal is still on going the drop is over done IMO..

moneyplus - 28 Apr 2006 20:47 - 554 of 572

I went out too!! Never mind hang on for another year though it would help if we got some regular updates from the company instead of the long silence. The island in the carib. will have to wait driver!! have a nice weekend all.

driver - 29 Apr 2006 12:53 - 555 of 572

I posted this on the other side.
We all know what we have invested in responze tv, that has expanded towards Europe the USA
They now have their own in-house call centre in Shanghai that allows the Group to generate higher sales conversions from incoming call enquiries.

PCM now have a catalogue mail order business in Shanghai. The early results from this division are promising.

Pacific Media Asia Auctions Limited, this is going to be the big one with Sit-Up TV or Bid-Up TV as we know it the potential revenue from this is massive taking in the size of area China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, if they can pull it off, with the present management I think they can with there experience of TV home shopping programmes that they have already undertaken.

The 30% drop yesterday and no big sells some punters have millions of these so it looks like most are hanging on, I will be holding.

rdotdj - 30 Apr 2006 13:26 - 556 of 572

Having been a share holder in PCM for over 10 years and knowing the few "ups" and the many "downs" that we have experienced, I find the management very dilatory in not posting information, good or bad.
Even when I have said that I shall keep all my shareholding for the next couple of years and if no improvement I shall then sell my million of shares.
I am hoping to visit China in the autumn and will include a visit to Shanghai where I will be able to check out some of their investments.

this company will become a Chinese type Argos...the future is awesome...topping up tuesday if i can get under 0.1p

m0dulus - 08 May 2006 10:34 - 558 of 572

What is going on here..these shares are turning into a nightmare...any chance of a turnaround?

skyhigh - 08 May 2006 11:30 - 559 of 572

Grim isn't it !..... I bought in a month or two ago purely as a flutter.... didn't come off.. (surprise surprise!)

I'm staying and may even top up a little at these levels in the next week or two.

PCM must surely turn round in the next yr or two !?

moneyplus - 08 May 2006 12:17 - 560 of 572

This is one to tuck away and forget about-we've had the results as usual not so great! however if they manage to get the home shopping up and going successfully we'll be well rewarded-I hope! media exposure seems happy to keep them well funded although they now own so much of the company I would have thought they'll have to launch a t/o soon. don't expect to hear any more from them for some time!!

driver - 08 May 2006 14:19 - 561 of 572

Agree with mp take your eye of them and come back when there 4p.

driver - 19 May 2006 11:26 - 562 of 572

I put forward a few questions to PCM a week ago.

Questions include Sit-Up TV and keeping us more informed such as the catalogue mail order business in Shanghai that they failed to tell us about.

Just arrived.
Thanks for your email and apologies for the late response.

I understand your frustration and can only say that Pacific Media
endeavours to keep all its shareholders abreast of its information to
the best of its ability. As I have mentioned before, it is impossible
for me to comment on any matters that may be price sensitive however the
management remains upbeat and focussed for the coming year.

Best regards, Tom.

Nothing new there then.

hewittalan6 - 19 May 2006 11:53 - 563 of 572

Thanks for sharing that Driver.
Tells us nowt, not even whether the directors think things will improve.
Upbeat and focussed means sod all.
David Icke was upbeat and focussed on the end of the world and all he got was a new turquoise shell suit.
I'll tuck 'em away and hope for the future.

I was not happy with the last email from Tom. Steiner so I have emailed him again
Will post his reply if any.

hewittalan6 - 23 May 2006 08:23 - 565 of 572

Oi. Driver!! Is that you buying another 6 shares in PCM? At a time like this? You wreckless fool, you. ;-)

rdotdj - 24 May 2006 00:26 - 566 of 572

It so happens we are going to have a 4 week guided tour holiday in China in October this year, and one of our stays is in Shanghai where PCM have allocated space in Watsons Personal Stores where PCM personell use DVD's based commercials to advertise there products on the Internet.
I understand they are selling cosmetic based products on their 15 min commercials.
I believe it has been said that PCM are close to signing a deal with a company called Back Chanell Media which specialises in media enabling technologies such as Direct Response TV.time periods.
Back Chanell TV is the only TV media buying and planning agency in the USA that can provide TV Home shopping or DR TV Commwercilas.
Having had PCM shares since the days of the Wilton Group which is 17 years ago and visited their set up in Hong Kong with Multi screen cinemas about 12 years ago I have been a very very patient share holder.
I hope to make contact with senior personell and visit some of their Watsons Stores
to really see how they are progressing, because really the news from PCM is so sparce and does not warrant all the interest shown in these message boards.

rdotdj - 24 May 2006 00:31 - 567 of 572

I also wanted to say that we had a Chinese Hong Kong Doctor friend of ours staying with us this last weekend and he had actually seen the adverts put out by PCM which covered Hong Kong and said the products adverts were fasinating especially the ladies Bra.!!! Lets hope they are unique and prove very successful.
Good Luck to all PCM share holders.

driver - 26 May 2006 12:34 - 568 of 572

I had another go at Tom.Steiner his not haveing any of it.

You are asking for information that could have an impact on the share
price and I have to reiterate that I cannot divulge information of a
price sensitive nature and again all information concerning business
developments at Pacific Media will be made in due course through the
appropriate channels.

Best regards, Tom.

rdotdj
Welcome to the board
I might be doing a new thread on PCM soon with all the relevant links that the thread needs.

hewittalan6 - 26 May 2006 12:35 - 569 of 572

Hes a miserable tit, that Tom bloke.
Good try Driver. We'll just have to wait it out.
