Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

jimmy b - 04 Oct 2016 09:21 - 5524 of 12628

No point telling Fred that ,he's the same as Corbyn , it's what they want not what the people want.

MaxK - 04 Oct 2016 09:23 - 5525 of 12628

Not a bad start!

* Hunt: 1,500 new British doctors per year

* Fallon: British troops to be protected from war crimes claims

* Rudd: New plans to deport EU criminals

* Truss: Recruitment drive to tackle prison violence and drugs

Fred will be having conniptions ... :-)

jimmy b - 04 Oct 2016 09:25 - 5527 of 12628

Nothing will be what Fred wants .

Fred1new - 04 Oct 2016 11:35 - 5528 of 12628

"Fallon: British troops to be protected from war crimes claims"

Will that apply to those jolly foreigners who commit crimes against UK soldiers and citizens?

-=-=-=-=

"Truss: Recruitment drive to tackle prison violence and drugs"

Will that need higher recruitment of prison officers?

Expensive??

-=-=-=-

The Exiters have the bark of large dogs without teeth.

=--=-=

Dil.

I await to see who is queuing up to do deals with the UK in preference to the EU.

The trades will have similar regulations and rules, except that the UK will have little to do with their negotiation of the rules or regulations.

Edited for Dil.

I see Fallon is opening recruitment offices for the Arm Forces in Eton and Harrow and Roedean School.

8-)

There may be room for Dumbos as cannon fodder.

Yes hopefully Fred it will protect terrorists who come here to blow us up , no wonder you like Corbyn and Mc Donnell !!

Dil - 04 Oct 2016 13:20 - 5531 of 12628

Fred , regardless of what Obama said the UK is likely to do a deal with the US quicker than the EU will even though it's been negotiating one for years imo.

I don't understand your second sentence , trades with who ?

Fred1new - 04 Oct 2016 13:29 - 5532 of 12628

Dil

P 5529 edited.

I will wait for the golden dawn of new future contracts.

-=-=-=

What is stopping those contracts being done now?

MaxK - 04 Oct 2016 14:59 - 5533 of 12628

Something to cheer you up Fred...and it's in the Graun, so it must be true!

Dil - 04 Oct 2016 19:27 - 5534 of 12628

Think it's because we are still part of the EU Fred but I'm sure preliminary talks are already taking place with a number of countries.

Haystack - 04 Oct 2016 21:39 - 5535 of 12628

Diane James the new head of UKIP has resigned after 18 days.

Will Farage be back as leader?

Fred1new - 04 Oct 2016 22:04 - 5536 of 12628

No.

It will be Donald Trump.

Dil - 04 Oct 2016 23:11 - 5537 of 12628

fred - time to change the record

jimmy b - 05 Oct 2016 08:04 - 5540 of 12628

It will never happen cynic , he will sit in his miserable world forever .
If Britain made a success of Brexit he could never see it ,sad.

cynic - 05 Oct 2016 08:24 - 5541 of 12628

there are a huge number of twists and turns still to come in the brexit negotiations, and it certainly won't be one-way traffic

how well the uk economy performs after the event remains to be seen, and as always, much will depend on the rest of the world

will uk be better or worse off having pulled the plug?
no one will ever know, other than for sure uk will not be part of a federal europe - and a damn good job too!

Visit Paris – city of culture, beauty and enlightenment

By David Craig, on October 5th, 2016

Given that Paris has been so much in the news following the theft of jewellery from the world’s most talented (are you sure? ed) and famous (famous for what? ed) woman – see yesterday’s blog for more information and pictures – I thought I’d dedicate today’s blog to a brief eulogy of one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

I used to love going to Paris. When I was an awful lot younger, if you wanted to get off with a girl, you just invited her to Paris for a weekend. A huge amount of food, drink and sex were guaranteed.

Later, there was nothing like a trip to Paris to spice up a longer-term relationship.

But Paris has changed.

Of course we will know , could we carry on taking 350 thousand immigrants per year ? the answer is obviously no plain and simple .
Now coming out of Europe ,i am not one of those saying "see nothing happened after the vote" the reality will be seen in the first years after we exit .
My guess is that we are going to be fine ,i also strongly believe that the Union is on shaky legs and could end up being dissolved one day.
