THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

The MP (forgot his name) who gave Brittan the documents would surely not have given them to him if Brittan was named therein.

All we need now is for Cameron to win the election, take us into the EU fully and watch our savings shrink as they get revalued as Euro's....

cynic - 22 Jan 2015 16:17 - 55556 of 81564

at least you have a chance of voting on the issue with the tories, whereas none at all with labour

Fred1new - 22 Jan 2015 16:27 - 55557 of 81564

Manuel.

That is a good a chance as no chance.

Won't see another torry government for at least 20 years.

goldfinger - 22 Jan 2015 16:33 - 55558 of 81564

Doubt if we'l ever see one.

Young kids these days support Labour.

2517GEORGE - 22 Jan 2015 16:36 - 55559 of 81564

ON THIS DAY IN 1979
On 22 January, tens of thousands of public sector workers downed tools. Public services were halted until the middle of February, with rubbish left uncollected on the side of the roads, and the army driving ambulances.

After losing a vote of confidence at the end of March by a single vote, Callaghan called a general election for May. The Conservatives won, and Callaghan’s Labour government was brought to an end.

Fred needs to get his cataracts done.

cynic - 22 Jan 2015 16:37 - 55561 of 81564

fred - you're a brave man to stick your neck out to bet on anything other than a hung parliament ...... it even looks far from certain that labour will have the most seats

goldfinger - 22 Jan 2015 16:43 - 55562 of 81564

ohhhhhhh they will.

cynic - 22 Jan 2015 16:51 - 55563 of 81564

so you keep telling us all - incessantly

a bit like the ranting about how interest rates were 110% certain to rise before end '14, but switched to b4 GE ..... i don't think so :-)

you've also rattled on a number of other absolute non-specific certainties along the way that have also mysteriously failed to materialise

as fred says - you don’t have to win any argument if enough people are willing to say you did ....... except that in this instance, the ballot box will reveal all

Shortie - 22 Jan 2015 16:52 - 55564 of 81564

We young'uns support UKIP not Labour....

goldfinger - 22 Jan 2015 16:59 - 55565 of 81564

I meant 16 year olds not 38 year olds, dont forget Milly wants them to have the vote.

PS. where is Hays talking of old gits.

TANKER - 22 Jan 2015 16:59 - 55566 of 81564

the child abuse against gov officials we will never get the real facts .the reason they keep putting people in place knowing they will be kicked out its a rue to delaying the case . they are delaying the case till they re all dead . the government of all parties stinks of corruption trying to delay the case long enough for those quilty to be no more . the old boys rules

goldfinger - 22 Jan 2015 17:02 - 55567 of 81564

Yep it seems that way TANKER. Typical sleazy Tories.

You can bet your life they wont wait until Blair snuffs it.

cynic - 22 Jan 2015 17:06 - 55568 of 81564

ahem!
what MrT actually wrote was the government of all parties stinks of corruption

goldfinger - 22 Jan 2015 17:15 - 55569 of 81564

No he and his 30 mates are now voting Labour.

cynic - 22 Jan 2015 17:16 - 55570 of 81564

that has nothing whatsoever to do with what you wrote in 55570

Haystack - 22 Jan 2015 18:56 - 55571 of 81564

New offer from the broadcasters:

BBC & ITV: one seven-way debate each with Tories, Labour, LibDems, Greens, UKIP, SNP and Plaid Cymru

Sky & C4: Cameron v Miliband head to head

Haystack - 22 Jan 2015 18:58 - 55572 of 81564

The 7 way debate will be worth watching for the entertainment value.
