The buys today (11/02/05)are at last a little more substantial (including one for 1 million). And the buying pattern has become more encouraging. Here are the total buys for the last seven days:
03/02/05 0
04/02/05 0
07/02/05 0
08/02/05 20,594
09/02/05 50,000
10/02/05 951,737
11/02/05 2,037,081
On the other hand the sells for the same period total 7,669,543 (according to my quick calculation) so it may be too early too read anything into this.
Any comments?

Hi everyone. This ones been falling for a long time now, and you'll have to excuse me because im not very well-researched on this one, but this looks oversold to me. If 11 million turnover is correct on a market cap of around 6 million, with a loss of 2 million, seems like there's plenty of room for a turnaround and a big jump in the SP on any positive news flow.
Any thoughts?

goal - you once posted info about BSkyB and the introduction of the Skycard. We now know that the Skycard is in conjunction with Barclaycard. Do you know whether IDD make Barclaycard?
Seems to me that IDD could do a lot better on the PR/information front. For example, the introduction of Tesco Clubcards' keyfobs last year. These must have gone out to millions in the UK. Well you'd have to trawl their website to find the info, and it's presented almost as mere technical issue, rather than an excellent commercial move.

Thanks goal. Yes I knew Barclays were a customer, just being cautious because that doesn't necessarily mean Barclaycard, does it? It will be interesting to get more news on the Skycard.
I think Vodafone, Exxon Mobil and The AA are also on the list of customers.

Oyster card could shell out for small purchases
By Rebecca Knight
Published: March 5 2005 02:00 | Last updated: March 5 2005 02:00
The Oyster smartcard used by commuters could pay for small purchases such as milk and newspapers, London transport chiefs said yesterday.
Transport for London plans to team up with financial institutions to widen the scope of the cards, which are used by more than 2.2m passengers.
Charles Monheim, director of TfL's Oyster project, said: "Britain's 266bn cash market is now getting unlocked. The benefit will be that you will have one everyday card that's fast and easy. You can use it at a newsagent, at a pub and to pay for parking."
Mr Monheim said that TfL was acting in line with a European Union directive requiring electronic money issuers to meet the regulatory requirements of banks, which made it more attractive to partner with an financial institution.
"This is not our core business but [transport] is a fabulous foundation on which to build this scheme," he said.
Possible partners include banks, credit card issuers or even mobile phone groups, and trials could start at the end of the year.
Sam Kingston, managing director of UK commercial business at EDS, part of the consortium that owns the Oyster brand, said the scheme would succeed. "When you have a killer application such as transport and a well-known card like Oyster, you're going to be able to position that card to do other things," he said.
This will not be the first such experiment. In 1993, a consortium of banks and BT, the telecommunications group, launched the Mondex card, which contained a computer chip loaded with cash from a bank account.
The card, which enabled customers to make purchases from vending machines, through pay phones and over the internet, was tried out in about 20 countries but hardly got beyond the test stage.
Tim Jones, the inventor of Mondex and now a consultant to Simpay, a mobile phone payments group, said: "We were starting from scratch and were frankly too early.
"What Oyster are planning to do is quite sensible and there's considerable precedent, particularly in Hong Kong where the Octopus card has become a widely accepted electronic currency."
