Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

Israel is an apartheid state that uses terrorism against the Palestinians. They are more terrorist than Hamas. Actually only a few countries call Hamas terrorists. There are probably more that call Israel terrorists.

It is not just Hamas that are opposed to Israel. A survery published today in the Israeli Jeruusalem Post shows that most Palesinians are opposed to Israel in a very fundamental way.

73% of 1,010 Palestinians in W. Bank, Gaza agree with 'hadith' quoted in Hamas Charter about the need to kill Jews hiding behind stones, trees.

Only one in three Palestinians (34 percent) accepts two states for two peoples as the solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to an intensive, face-to-face survey in Arabic of 1,010 Palestinian adults in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip completed this week by American pollster Stanley Greenberg.

Respondents were asked about US President Barack Obamas statement that there should be two states: Palestine as the homeland for the Palestinian people and Israel as the homeland for the Jewish people.

Just 34% said they accepted that concept, while 61% rejected it.

Sixty-six percent said the Palestinians real goal should be to start with a two-state solution but then move to it all being one Palestinian state.

Asked about the fate of Jerusalem, 92% said it should be the capital of Palestine, 1% said the capital of Israel, 3% the capital of both, and 4% a neutral international city.

Seventy-two percent backed denying the thousands of years of Jewish history in Jerusalem, 62% supported kidnapping IDF soldiers and holding them hostage, and 53% were in favor or teaching songs about hating Jews in Palestinian schools.

When given a quote from the Hamas Charter about the need for battalions from the Arab and Islamic world to defeat the Jews, 80% agreed. Seventy-three percent agreed with a quote from the charter (and a hadith, or tradition ascribed to the prophet Muhammad) about the need to kill Jews hiding behind stones and trees.

"meaning humiliation ruin and collapse as a result of self-infliction damage."

This is a good description of how Israel is behaving. It is showing sign of imploding as it passes undemocratic laws.

Hamas were voted in by the people of Gaza in a model of democratic elections. International observers gave the elections high praise for the way it was conducted. You may not like it, but it is the legitimate government of Gaza. The volence in Gaza after the elections was because Fatah would not accept the election result. The real proble amongst the Palestinians is Fatah and the corruption inside it. US aid to the West Bank has made rich men of the leaders of Fatah.

TANKER - 15 Jul 2011 14:35 - 5577 of 6906

exactly they kill each other then blame israel.
they are terrorists read the history of HAMAS it tells you all.
end off. pointless to respond to a dimwit

Haystack - 15 Jul 2011 14:40 - 5578 of 6906

The inter party rivalry between Fatah and Hamas was just down to Fatah. Don't forget the killing of Palestinians by Israel. Those numbers dwarf any internal killings in Palestine and run into thousands.

Top CIA officer: Israel will probably attack Iran in Sept.

Robert Baer tells LA radio that strike on Tehran likely to happen before vote on Palestinian state, that PM wants US to be involved, and that "there is a warning order inside Pentagon to prepare for conflict with Iran."

Israel will probably attack Iran in September, Robert Baer, a veteran CIA officer who spent 21 years in the Middle East including in Lebanon and Syria, told a Los Angeles radio show on Tuesday.

While the CIA officer didn't reveal the sources behind his prediction, he referred to former Mossad chief Meir Dagan's warnings of an Israeli attack on Iran as "no bluff."

Baer told the KPFK Los Angeles show Background Briefing that previous comments made by Dagan that an Israeli attack on Iran could lead to a regional war "tell us with near certainty that Netanyahu is planning an attack, and in as much as I can guess when it's going to be, it's probably going to be in September before a vote on the Palestinian state."

Baer added that Netanyahu is "also hoping to draw the United States into the conflict, and in fact there's a warning order inside the Pentagon to prepare for conflict with Iran."

The senior CIA officer predicted a scenario in which Israel would attack the Natanz nuclear facility as well as "a couple of others to degrade their capabilities."

"The Iranians will strike back were they can and that will be in Basra and in Baghdad," where the US has a diminished troop presence, Baer said, adding "we've started to look at Iran's targets in Iraq and across the border."

Baer, however, diffused predictions of regional war, saying "What we're facing here is an escalation, not a planed all-out war."
