THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Their constituents seemed to think they were worth the bother.

Haystack - 26 Jan 2015 23:37 - 55884 of 81564

The constituents of Clacton share a brain cell. It is full of little Englanders.

Reckless ddn't do that well in Rochester, bearing in mind that he was the sitting MP. His seat could be overturned at the GE. His majority dropped from 10,000 (20%) to 3,000 (7%) when standing for UKIP.

MaxK - 26 Jan 2015 23:59 - 55885 of 81564

I think you are missing the point Big Time Haystack.

goldfinger - 27 Jan 2015 02:25 - 55886 of 81564

Your right Max just look at the UKIP figure in this poll thats come out tonight...........

Survation/Mirror – CON 31%, LAB 30%, LDEM 7%, UKIP 23%, GRN 3%

...............23%

Spells disaster for the Tories when it comes to SEATS.

cynic - 27 Jan 2015 08:14 - 55887 of 81564

do you REALLY believe a 23% vote for ukip is on the cards?
i think that's total make-believe
13%? .... just possibly

WHO NEXT.....TANKERS CON CLUB??????????

If SNP is part of the debate then you have to have the NI parties. That could make it an extra three parties. A debate with ten people would be very amusing. It would also be pointless. Farage was annoyed by adding SNP and the Greens, now he will be furious. His message would get list amongst ten others. It was the broadcasters that added SNP and Plaid Cymru. Cameron just wanted to add the Greens.

goldfinger - 27 Jan 2015 09:20 - 55893 of 81564

Camoron, hes chicken. its just another obstacle to stop them going ahead.

Fred1new - 27 Jan 2015 09:20 - 55894 of 81564

GF,

Cameron is typical of Bully Boys of the Cocaine Club.

He ducked Wee Alex and is ducking Farage.

I think Galloway called him a coward and that is what many of the voters are calling him.

Who wants a coward for a PM. seemingly only Manuel, Hays, DB3.5 and a few other deluded tories.

Mind is he better or worse than Berlusconi Boris at a party.

=====

I think it should be a debate Cameron, Clegg, Miliband, Farage and Caroline Lucas. Plus
leader of DUP.

3 open debates.

=======

But Cameron is a chicken.

What a PR creep he really is!

Haystack - 27 Jan 2015 09:24 - 55895 of 81564

Cameron is doing a good job. Even the majority of the public want and expect him to be PM after the GE

Haystack - 27 Jan 2015 09:25 - 55896 of 81564

Conservatives lead at 1

Latest YouGov / The Sun results 26th January -

Con 34%, Lab 33%, LD 6%, UKIP 15%, GRN 7%;

Haystack - 27 Jan 2015 09:43 - 55897 of 81564

If you look at Sky, you will see their latest prediction; Labour biggest part but short by 40 seats. That is of course with three months left before the GE.

MaxK - 27 Jan 2015 09:48 - 55898 of 81564

Makes no odd's...taxpayer fooked

Haystack - 27 Jan 2015 09:50 - 55899 of 81564

Note the UKIP prediction of 2 seats!

MaxK - 27 Jan 2015 09:56 - 55900 of 81564

Who cares?

Nobody expected ukip to win....upset the applecart is all that is required.

goldfinger - 27 Jan 2015 09:56 - 55901 of 81564

Im afraid hays you are blinkered. See the Mirror poll I put up last night.

Haystack - 27 Jan 2015 09:57 - 55902 of 81564

If UKIP are still predicted 2 seats just before the GE, voters will switch back to traditional patterns.

The Mirror is just one poll. The rest are pretty much in line.
