Biofuels Corporation. (BFC)

wilbs - 07 Jul 2004 19:47

The main activity of Biofuels is the large scale production and exploitation of biodiesel and glycerine following the construction and commissioning of the initial plant.

Biodiesel is produced from vegetable oils and, as an environmentally friendly product, can make a significant contribution towards reducing green house gases and meeting Kyoto targets.

Mayiguo, I can't see how they can fail to get to full production at this late stage. I agree it's dissapointing they didn't report the delay much sooner as they must have been aware of it for some time, however it seems a case of when they start producing not if.

mayiguo - 21 Sep 2005 09:42 - 561 of 1184

frampton, Exactly, but did you notice they said 30 Sep in July, and they did not say exact when this time, also, vitually finished construction = many builder working on Sunday? I do not really trust the management any more, my view is reflected in the current SP, I was a strong believer too, mate, I just want to wait until the picture becomes clearer.

ahoj - 21 Sep 2005 10:17 - 562 of 1184

Why should they tell you?
Do they have to make everything clear for us? In the future, they can say we couldn't estimate the exact date!

Say that again ahoj.

the problem is that when you tell`porkys`... (or not the whole truth as in this case)the city get very worried......and wonder what else is in store.

Frampton - 21 Sep 2005 11:56 - 566 of 1184

mayigou, I think it makes sense not to put in a new completion date, if they'd have said "towards the end of the year" as opposed to "end of September" in the fist place they wouldn't be in this mess, and the share price would probably be alot higher in anticipation of completion. By being less specific they are now in a postion to surprise on the upside - they have till the end of December to complete and the market is expecting the worse, so if an anouncment comes out much earlier, it will give the share price a good boost. I don't blame you for not trusting the managment, I am very wary, but still hopeful, it just seems we have a longer wait.By not giving much info away, they have given the bears a second go at this, which is a shame. Does anyone know if EK is still short?

trigger - 21 Sep 2005 16:45 - 567 of 1184

I'm looking at this share longterm and as such i'm really not too bothered about a short delay in completion of the plant. In 6-12 months that delay will be irrelevant. The way that oil prices are moving, and the concerns about global warming are both more significant longterm factors that IMO mean that biodiesel surely has a huge growth potential, and BFC should be well placed to take advantage of that.Looking at it from that perspective now is probably an excellent time to get in while the price is low, as when the plant comes online the SP will hopefully rise significantly. Then there's the prospect of a second plant, which if the first is a success ( which i think is only a matter of when and not if actually ) must be almost an inevitability, and then who knows where?
As you can see I'm very positive about this company, and am in for the long haul. At the end of the day only time will tell.

Frampton - 21 Sep 2005 17:19 - 568 of 1184

I agree trigger, I'm in for the long term and hoping for good returns, any weakness is a buying opportunity (if only I had more funds)

mayiguo - 21 Sep 2005 20:59 - 569 of 1184

if the wholething really delay to Dec or Jan, they will certainly have trouble with funding, hence the high hedge cost against them, that's why the share is under pressure, I predict next RNS will be RE: funding,

Also, anybody knows after commissioning, how long their trail production will take before the full prodction? the current cash burn rates are threatening.

lizard - 21 Sep 2005 22:03 - 570 of 1184

not a very good day at alk either- energy stocks getting a bit battered at the moment

stockdog - 21 Sep 2005 22:16 - 571 of 1184

Does anyone know if EK is still short?
No, but he's still fat. lol!

Frampton - 22 Sep 2005 09:30 - 572 of 1184

Lol stockdog! Might have known you'd come up with a wisecrack.

jimmy b - 27 Sep 2005 17:29 - 573 of 1184

The SP is starting to look a little stronger as we get nearer to completion ,don't you think Frampton ?

Frampton - 27 Sep 2005 17:50 - 574 of 1184

Don't say things like that Jimmy, we'll be back down tommorrow! I'm patiently watching and waiting and hoping for an RNS saying they are up and running way before the end of December, but if it takes that long, so be it. This time next year the shares will be worth alot more.

Frampton - 28 Sep 2005 17:42 - 575 of 1184

A little rise every day, I can live with that.

Frampton - 30 Sep 2005 16:36 - 577 of 1184

A nice finish to the week Jimmy, I think you're right about the share price looking stronger.

jimmy b - 30 Sep 2005 16:46 - 578 of 1184

Yup , nothing drastic, just a nice steady rise , the trouble nowdays Frampton is the slightest negative news and the shorters move in , i'm still very confident on this one and have been all the way. I really think this ia going to be big next year..
Cheers JB..

Frampton - 13 Oct 2005 14:13 - 579 of 1184

I was hoping we wouldn't see these prices again. I might buy some more, but I think I'll wait for the bottom this time.
