THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

you have told us on many occasions that you prefer to take a (your) moral stance on paying your taxes and thus do not even take any simple legit action to avoid .... or is that just sticky (who isn't talking to me at the moment - stupid boy)?

The mantra of Haze and his gormless party!

Handed down from PR agent Lynton at TPHQ.

Fred1new - 30 Jan 2015 12:23 - 56097 of 81564

This thread or a new thread?

Also, from Moneyam charts?

jimmy b - 30 Jan 2015 13:03 - 56098 of 81564

Yes Fred money am charts and a new thread

ExecLine - 30 Jan 2015 13:17 - 56099 of 81564

Jimmy

First of all, to do that you have to be the opening poster and use your own 'Edit' button.

If you are not the opening poster, then go to the Chart page and set up what chart it is that you want posting. eg, time period, indicators, etc.

Having done that then MoneyAM have made a tool which picks up the pertinent HTML code for the user to use with a Copy and Paste. You will actually see this HTML at the bottom of the Chart page presented for the user to use.

Now here's the thing to do......

Take the URL address of that Chart page from the top of your browser and Copy and Paste this link to it into your thread using the MoneyAM chain link tool (.

Now you have made it very easy for Ian, our resident MoneyAM 'techie' to kindly do the job for you. But you do need to politely ask him to do this.

Q. So where would you do that?
A. In the 'bugs thread' would be a good idea. He is always reading that. Agreed? : It's HERE

jimmy b - 30 Jan 2015 13:31 - 56100 of 81564

Thanks Excec , you'll probably see it all up next year sometime , as you can tell i won't be applying for a job in Silicon Valley .

US growth cools to 2.6% in fourth quarter
The US economy grew 2.6 per cent in the fourth quarter – below consensus expectations for a 3 per cent increase. That was a marked slowdown from the 5 per cent annualized pace set in the third quarter.
Real personal consumption spending rose an annual 4.3 per cent in the fourth quarter, accelerating from the 3.2 per cent in the third, according to official data.

markets won't like that
it's also the last trading day of the month, which would likely bring erratic trading in any case

ExecLine - 30 Jan 2015 13:55 - 56102 of 81564

Go for it Jimmy! Risk making a fool of yourself!

:-)

And don't forget - you do have an 'Edit' button to wipe everything out and swap for just a mere 'full stop' after you've made a right mess and posted your incorrect stuff up.

ExecLine - 30 Jan 2015 13:58 - 56103 of 81564

By the way, it's a bit sad to lose Goldfinger and Doodlebug. We shall miss their good stuff.

If only these guys had taken the 'Marshmallow Test' when they were younger and learnt a bit of self discipline.

Ah well.

cynic - 30 Jan 2015 14:05 - 56104 of 81564

i don't think (hope) they haven't been sent into outer space .... perhaps yellow carded, but i don't know

Fred1new - 30 Jan 2015 14:10 - 56105 of 81564

JB.

Exec is right.

Can't remember writing similar before.

8-)

Fred1new - 30 Jan 2015 14:14 - 56106 of 81564

Heard a rumour they are meeting at dawn outside the LSE.

Both will carrying their laptops.

Sad, I like GF's and Db 3.5's inputs.

Gf's were often instructive.

cynic - 30 Jan 2015 14:18 - 56107 of 81564

i'll drop him a private e-
of course he may be sulking so badly that he has blocked my mails

Haystack - 30 Jan 2015 14:21 - 56108 of 81564

Maybe he is watching us all from afar.

Shortie - 30 Jan 2015 14:22 - 56109 of 81564

Cynic, from earlier.. HMRC will pay interest if they were wrong with your VAT calculation and at fault. You must claim the money from them, they won't simply pay out.

cynic - 30 Jan 2015 14:26 - 56110 of 81564

as it stands, the bastards won't even accept that they owe
fortunately my accountant who is handling this, is dead hot and won't just roll over (even though he's apparently dead!)

Shortie - 30 Jan 2015 14:38 - 56111 of 81564

Well it'll be next on the agenda then once your accountant proves that the VAT is in-fact due back to you. See the below link.

Hey, JimmyB:

Jimmy

You asked how to do this charting task and so I wasted my effing time telling you.

Then you go to the Bugs thread, probably once again lazily just using my link, and just ask Ian:

jimmy b Send an email to jimmy b View jimmy b's profile - 30 Jan 2015 14:09 - 55 of 56

Ian would you be so kind as to put a one year normal chart in the header of my excellent new FLYBE thread , thanks ...

You obviously can't be bothered to even give it a try.

You are an utter and complete twat!

cynic - 30 Jan 2015 14:39 - 56113 of 81564

thanks shortie
i think he's ex-HMRC or similar, so no doubt will know the wrinkles
