new millennium resources (NML)

LEEWINK - 28 Mar 2004 15:45

NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.

They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.

does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

legend,

Yes there is certainly a seller, or possibly sellers, that have been selling stock for a few months now, normally into strength, on the back of news, but now using the block trading facility, disposed of 1,500,000 in the last week or so.

I believe the Badenhorst brothers have sold 1 million shares, but they hold in nominee (as do some directors) so it is hard to be sure.

Some nice sized buys there.

Dynamite - 19 May 2005 11:13 - 563 of 1909

Better than sells...hopefully we will hear some news soon although I suspect it is going to be June before we do. Tick tock

Andy - 19 May 2005 11:18 - 564 of 1909

mjr1234,

Sorry, that's a 205,000 rollover (BUY) not two buys.

The transaction times are too close together to be anything else IMO.

mjr1234 - 19 May 2005 11:22 - 565 of 1909

I thought rollovers usually had identical timestamps?

Andy - 19 May 2005 11:34 - 566 of 1909

mjr1234,

No they cannot do the two transactions at exactly the same time, they are always a few seconds apart.

19/05/05 09:46:53 4.0 205,000 O 3.5 4.25 Buy
19/05/05 09:46:35 3.95 205,000 O 3.5 4.25 Buy

What gives this away is the odd amount, and it's extremely unlikely two people would buy 205,000 within a few seconds of each other, particularly in a lightly traded stock.

In order to work out whether it's a buy or sell rollover, you check which transaction took place first, and in this example it was a sell, followed by a buy, so a BUY rollover IMO.

mjr1234 - 19 May 2005 11:38 - 567 of 1909

If you wanted to buy 410k online, but the online buy limit is 250k (which it was by the way, now 150k), you might put through 2 lots of 205k.

Andy - 19 May 2005 11:39 - 568 of 1909

mjr1234,

interestingly, Comdirect are currently showing 3.5 - 4p spread, maximum 125,000 buy, which is positive, as max buy yesterday was 500,000!

EWRobson - 19 May 2005 12:48 - 569 of 1909

sd: Dogs do get bord without regular walkies, food, sleep, walkies, food ... Now we both knew when we bought in here that their negative vibes around the share, probably caused by over-optimism. But I suggest waiting the month unless you want to gorge yourself on SEO! They are actually producing at this very moment, I suspect, and stacking up the diamonds as they go! The cap is so low that any positive news at all is going to drive the sp higher.

Now getting quoted 4.16p for 150k max.
Still 4.0p for 100k or less though.

takahe - 19 May 2005 13:47 - 571 of 1909

legend- how do you know the Badenhorst Bros are selling?

mjr1234 - 19 May 2005 14:25 - 572 of 1909

Another juicy buy.

Andy - 19 May 2005 15:24 - 573 of 1909

takahe,

Take the number of share that they were awarded (from NML RNS) then check that figure against that declared in the recent RNS, and it APPEARS they MAY have sold 1,000,000.

They MAY have moved them to a nominee of course!

mjr1234 - 19 May 2005 15:43 - 574 of 1909

O/T Anyone seen the news on MRP? Struck the black gold. Jumped in on the news with a small punt.

Needless to say, any profits will be straight into NML!

legend290782 - 19 May 2005 15:55 - 575 of 1909

takahe, i didn't or don;t - i was asking people that knew more than me because i thought i heard a rumour on one of the boards. apologies if i am wrong.

andy i think the rollover might have been a put through i.e. if someone wanted to transfer the ownership of the shares without going selling at the bid and theother person buyingat the offer.

the difference between the 2 is what the market maker makes by puttingt he transaction through.

I remember it happened with asos at 8p - it looked negative that the director reduced his stake but in hindsight it was good as he probably put the shares in his wifes name or childrens name to minimise cgt as he knew that the sp was going to rise significantly.

Andy - 19 May 2005 16:13 - 576 of 1909

mjr1234,

re MRP, up 50%, well done!

legend,

yes you may well be right, the spread was tight.

mjr1234 - 19 May 2005 16:14 - 577 of 1909

Andy,

Not really, they were already 45% up when I bought them!

Just goes to show, you should buy in before the news.

Andy - 19 May 2005 16:22 - 578 of 1909

mjr1234,

ok, lOL!

I take your point, and I have no doubt that NML will go up upon decent news, it's just assessing when that might be that's the hard part.

stockdog - 19 May 2005 16:54 - 579 of 1909

eric, not selling, just bored!

EWRobson - 19 May 2005 17:59 - 580 of 1909

sd: SEO is just so exciting that I'm happy to have some boring shares. The sort of boring share that I like just keeps going up with uniform momentum at a regular rate. Better for the heart! But, like you, I don't like boring shares like NML which go down when they should be going up. Its like having an owner who goes down for a rest when he should be getting up and giving you a walk! This particular master is delaying the walk until the rain has stopped which it has done incessantly all day.
