THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Firms fight back against Labour: Ed Miliband frightens UK business
The last Labour government — in which Miliband and his shadow chancellor, Ed Balls, were key figures — ran up a record deficit of £153bn in 2009-10 as ministers lost control of the public finances.

Dreams.

I am told the majority of UK business leaders wish to stay in the EU.

Cameron pushed by his party rabble is attempting (or posturing for party political reasons) leading the UK out enabled by the party of kippers.

The vociferous tax dodger business leaders, who have probably donate to tory slush funds, of course as pay masters would be expected to support their present crew.

Goldfinger is Old Joe on iii I believe.

Fred1new - 06 Feb 2015 09:42 - 56375 of 81564

Then bring Old Joe back.

Some of us need him.

VICTIM - 06 Feb 2015 09:47 - 56376 of 81564

He doesn't say much , just promotes the odd company . Very different personality on there.

cynic - 06 Feb 2015 09:52 - 56377 of 81564

he might find that a damn sight easier (a) if he sounded remotely contrite if writing to Mike/Ian and (b) realised that he was now an adult and that flying in with boot and fist every time there was a perceived insult wins no points with anyone

for all that, i would very much like to see him back as i have no problem skipping past all the crap, whether political or on share-related threads, and his CHART thread and contributions elsewhere are greatly missed

=============

funny that no one is standing up for DB

however, i would certainly have no problem with seeing him return to the fold, but i'm afraid he is also incapable of keeping a civil tongue in his head, especially if in the same room (ring!) as GF

VICTIM - 06 Feb 2015 10:01 - 56378 of 81564

He's been there a while , I noticed a while back every Company he promoted here was on there , same message a minute later.

cynic - 06 Feb 2015 10:04 - 56379 of 81564

i have no problem with peeps populating boards under different names ...... what's the odds?

Fred1new - 06 Feb 2015 10:11 - 56380 of 81564

Manuel,

Post 56380

Stand in front of a mirror and substitute "I" for "he" in your passage (the one above) and read it.

-=-=-=-=

I have never understood how a person who has not read a post, is able to pronounce the post as crap, and translate for myself "crap" means "disagreeing" reflexly with the possible content, based on a sense of omniscience, or a feeling of superiority not actual logic.

-=-=-=-=

But the demise of both GF and DB is probably due to their obvious personal antipathy
to one another.

A pity they can't have a suspended cold war and communicate through foreign embassies.

==-=-=-=-==

Fred1new - 06 Feb 2015 10:16 - 56381 of 81564

PS,

I admit that too often I attempt to be provocative and also responsively abusive to some or the their stances.

I excuse it as being my nature.

cynic - 06 Feb 2015 10:23 - 56382 of 81564

on the other hand, i haven't been sin-binned .... you're being very silly today .... has that bitter wind penetrated your thermals or somesuch?

Fred1new - 06 Feb 2015 10:50 - 56383 of 81564

As we all know the NHS is safe in tory hands.

Another success for Cameron and Hunt and George.

NHS reorganisation was disastrous, says King's Fund

By James Gallagher
Health editor, BBC News website

Making the sums add up
Flu vaccine is 'barely effective'
NHS agency nurses spending 'soars'
Radical changes to the way the NHS in England is organised have been "disastrous" and "distracted" from patient care, leading analysts say.

The evaluation by the King's Fund think tank says the coalition government's changes had wasted three years, failed patients, caused financial distress and left a strategic vacuum.

Flu vaccine is 'barely effective' ..... apparently due to this year's strain, so a totally preposterous snipe

=======

it matters not who started the "bigger is better" reform - i think it started many years ago - but at last it has been recognised that, despite the undoubted logic, this really does not work or at least not nationwide

further, it has also been recognised that far too many hospital administrators have no medical training, resulting in perpetual conflict between the relevant parties ..... there are plans to change this

none of this (and more) will happen overnight, and nor should any party claim the kudos or throw the brickbats
