THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Prefer Blackadder myself.....because the jokes are not forced as for Mr Bean films.....sorry... but it's crap ...half hour episodes are great though...many a time it's like that : Dad's Army...on the Buses and a few others were the same...the half hours fantastic but the movie drawn-out things...not so hot...

I liked Magic Roundabout.

At least I could understand it.

But I was smaller then!

TANKER - 09 Feb 2015 08:02 - 56416 of 81564

the gov after the election will be the magic roundabout .
who ever gets to make the decisions they will have to make 60b of cuts
income tax will go up benefits will have to be cut .
over the last 8 years migrants have cost the nhs over 22b
read the true facts on the open borders .

prince Charles is correct the gov of the uk must act
the armed forces will not be voting for this gov

TANKER - 09 Feb 2015 08:12 - 56418 of 81564

the EU would collapse if the uk pulls out
so lets get out of the stinking corrupt eu of scum

cynic - 09 Feb 2015 08:22 - 56419 of 81564

British Muslims protest Charlie Hebdo Mohammed cartoons
isn't it more than welcome that we live in a society where people can indeed protest peacefully
as always, it's a great shame that a similar protest would be harshly dealt with in saudi, bahrain, china and so on and so on

TANKER - 09 Feb 2015 08:33 - 56420 of 81564

they are not british muslims they are muslims and if they do not like the west then they can leave and go back to their beloved lands of honey and good
freedom is our right and what we will never give up so if muslims do not like it leave and you will not see freedom

TANKER - 09 Feb 2015 08:37 - 56421 of 81564

islam is not a good religion they allow they religion to murder people that Is a evil religion have not seen these muslims protesting about isil that means they support isil

Fred1new - 09 Feb 2015 08:39 - 56422 of 81564

Manuel.

There are many things to admire in the UK.

BUT, there is an attempt to limit demonstrations by charging for the "police surveillance" of such events.

Also, there are suggestions of limitations being placed on trade unions.

===========

You are a reading man!

(Something feels wrong about that statement!) 8-)

If you haven't already read it, try "This Boy" by Alan Johnson (The postman to Home Secretary.)

He describes a London happening during your time.

The book is surprisingly non-political describes what you probably didn't observe, but for me describes the need for the Labour party and much of its ideology.

A fascinating read.

my cats live in the stables but they are not horses.

cynic - 09 Feb 2015 09:03 - 56425 of 81564

MrT - just as you have a right, within certain limitations, to shout your head off about things you do not like in this country, so others have a similar right

fred - i'm not sure when "my time" was, but as it's prob available on kindle at some knockdown price, i may well invest .... meanwhile i am thoroughly enjoying philippa gregory's "the king's curse"

TANKER - 09 Feb 2015 09:10 - 56426 of 81564

cynic no you are wrong we gave them shelter to make a new life in the uk now they want to turn it in to a Asian country if they do not like our way of life then leave

I could not go to a Asian country and run down their way of life and would not

price Charles statement was correct .

as a non believer I find all religions stupid and people praying to a myth and fairy tale dreamt up for the simple uneducated dimwits they is no god its a fairy tale

MaxK - 09 Feb 2015 09:12 - 56427 of 81564

Fairy tales go down quite well with the great unwashed, look at what the politicians spout (and expect to be believed)

cynic - 09 Feb 2015 09:16 - 56428 of 81564

MrT - ALL muslims????? .... what absolute rubbish, and indeed, the asians and muslims as a general group have enriched this country incalculably both culturally and financially

TANKER - 09 Feb 2015 09:25 - 56429 of 81564

so why are they not protesting about their faith being used to murder people .the answer is simple they support them not one protest about isil silent and backing them via collects . so come on cynic why are they not speaking out in the view of the uk public . they never will stab in the back yes

TANKER - 09 Feb 2015 09:28 - 56430 of 81564

=-=-=-=-=

Was this Tory government was aware of this for 4years and preferred ot hide their mates away while prosecuting Welfare false claimants?

Good tory standards.

How much was paid into tory party slush funds as tips?

Is the tory party attempting to cover up corrupt practice?
