The Europeans seemed more concerned with us leaving than we do.

I'm resigned to the fact that there will be no deal on the single market when we leave and anything better than that is a bonus.

It really isn't the end of the world not being in the single market and over time deals will be done that will compensate for it. These may be with the EU itself (if it survives) and/or the rest of the world.

Deals at what prices?

Spot on Dil. The pound is the lowest for 35 years, so 35 years ago the pound was lower than it is now, did the sky fall in then, no of course it didn't. The pound strengthened from there just as it will from wherever the low point is reached in this cycle.
