This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.
Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........
MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture
We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.
Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.
This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)
The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.
Please DYOR
cheers GF.

From the Business section Times Online..................
March 11, 2005
Rumour of the day
AIM-listed Medical Marketing International put on a further 6p to 154p making a 14 per cent gain this week amid talk that next weeks Phase II clinical trial results from Genvax, its joint venture with the University of Southampton, will impress. The trial of its DNA vaccine on patients suffering from low-grade non-Hodgkins lymphoma, a form of leukaemia, has been under way for four years. Freda Stevenson, of the university, is due to provide an update at a conference in London next Friday.

Lifted from another board excelent research material many thans to the author.
re genvax 18th march
The Genvax work is going to be presented at an 18th March conference in London. Professor Freda Stevenson is one of the two academics behind Genvax. She's presenting a Case Study on DNA Fusion Gene Vaccines Against Cancer: Pre-clinical Development and Clinical Testing:
- the fusion gene concept to drive induction of specific immune effector pathways
- clinical testing of DNA fusion gene vaccine against lymphoma
- electroporation for translating DNA fusion vaccination to patients
Other attendees and presenters include big names from major pharmas and labs internationally.
Conference details in pdf format:

I have an idea that there is such significant progress with both Ruthenium and Genvax, that big pharma may already be in dialogue for a deal worth between 500m and 2b, which would move the sp from its stunning curent high of 156p, to something nearer 6.00.
If you want to follow up some of this in more detail, hHere are some sites on the Genvax research generally:

GF, thanks for posting the Times article.
I cant help but think the news will be good, news was/is leaking out, it always does.
I am a tad concerned that the market has already indexed in the anticipated good news however I am still confident that MMg is undervalued when you take into consideration, aside from genvax, the numerous other products under r&d.
fingers crossed.... I am staying right here
Cheers. Rob

Thers a great amount of excitement building up on this one with just 5 days to go before the big annoucement on Friday and many pundits are forecasting 200p on good news so lets hope there not wrong..of course the big news is ruthenium which could be the blockbuster that could transform MMG's fortunes but we will have to wait a while longer for that one.
