Well Adie...I did say PDX would go down on their results to at least 180....I bought back again at 179. PDX will move back to 230 quite easily and beyond if there is a contract deal....something is in the wind. I have still kept my SEO, I sold yesterday and bought back more shares at a lower price. :-)

Good for you i'm out of SEO for now but its on my watch list... Will wait for the new issue shares to be absorbed, looks like alot of sells which might be the new shares of being off loaded, nice quick profit for those who held them... May get back into PDX in short term as you say 2.30 on the cards again...

I topped back up my PDX again this morning, after reducing during the recent bear raid.

What convinced me was the good volume, which is supporting the rising price.

To be honest, without news, the price already looks a bit toppy IMHO, so a reasonabe deal will need to be confirmed for that short term gain I reckon.

Pursuit Dynamics plc was one of 4 companies with innovative technologies invited to attend the event due to the advantages that may accrue from the PDX technology to Somerfield's suppliers and supply chain. Pursuit Dynamics expects sales of its newly launched PDX Sonic steam-based fluid processing system [Food Manufacture December 2004, p18] to top 200 a year for liquid food processing alone, as processors realise the benefits the system can offer.

Last month Pursuit launched the PDX Sonic 25, the first in the PDX range of equipment, which can handle 14t of product an hour and has a footprint of just 7.2m2. The self-contained production system is revolutionary as it could make many conventional multi-stage production processes redundant. Pursuit intends to launch further units in sizes handling up to 65t of product an hour.

The PDX system is the result of a four-year project at a cost of 6.5m and is being developed in conjunction with equipment manufacturer DC Norris, which manufactures the accompanying 500l vessel, two in-feed entrainment hoppers and a programmable electronic control system.

Director of new business at Pursuit, Kester Scrope, says that over the past three months the company has conducted around 90 separate trials with more than 40 manufacturers in its test kitchen at Royston, Hertfordshire, resulting in the processing of over 30t of batch recipes. Coca-Cola will be the first company to install the system for its soft drinks production, but other companies have shown interest, including a number of soup and sauces manufacturers and breweries.

The fully-automated PDX batch processing system, with patented shockwave technology, can mix, pump, homogenise, emulsify and cook ingredients simultaneously, making it ideal for sauce manufacture. It can homogenise product to 0.2 microns, making it also suitable for drink applications. It is also cost-effective: according to Pursuit, the Sonic 25 can raise the temperature of 500l of water from 15C to 85C in just 16 minutes, at an industry standard steam cost of 52p.

Unlike conventional methods of steam injection with high thermal gradients, the shockwave technology reduces thermal shock and eliminates the cook-on of product. The machine has no moving parts, making it easy to clean, which can help manufacturers with new product testing and can make them more flexible in changing over production runs as downtime is reduced.

Because the PDX uses steam injection, it is not suitable for products such as chocolate but can cook both rice and pasta at around 30% faster than conventional production. It can also greatly reduce the time it takes to produce sauces that require specialist cooking procedures. In one kitchen test it cut the time taken to produce a bhamel sauce from one-and-a-half hours to just three minutes.

Very good research cavman... not bearish eh?? ;-)... i would think that this is a case of one firm installing the technology, others will follow too.

I just wish we could know the amounts charged per unit and then do some sums as to the earnings.

I suspect that the amount charged per unit thus far is rather modest, they need to gain credibility by allowing companies such as Coca Cola the chance to see the unit in service, and of course the advantages it offers in both reduction of processing time, and savings in energy costs.

I doubt that they will publish unit costs, as they may be in ongoing negotiations with several parties, and not want to compromise themselves by making public anything that may put themselves at a disadvantage with others.

I'm becoming a little concerned that the price is weakening again, and may take some off the table if PDX fall any further.

Possibly the shorters are still playing here, and without any significant news, the price looks vulnerable IMHO.

Thanks legend - nice move up this morning and now have a habit of rebounding from 184 ish rather than the previous 160 ish - I remain confident about this product and that the company have been working in the right direction setting up different sections etc. Imagine what would happen (world wide) if the "Fire fighting " appliance took off.

Totally agree, massive prospects. Would be a good story if it took off. As always time will tell.

legend - I was having a really good day overall. Why did you go and spoil it with news of DA. - I had no idea. Sold them on 11 Jan at 170.37p having cleared a 12% profit. Isn`t it all fun !!!! S h one t.

If my sources are correct, 9 will be on the cards soon!!!!! They finished up 78 at 5.05!!! so quite a good day overall.

Rather than holding the stock, I have them on 25 per point!!! If it gets to 6-6.50 I think I will close out totally of the position. I took slight profits yesterday.... Wish I had kept my initial 10k amout bought at 1.40 odd.

Sorry to be a doom merchant.. you made a return, thats the main thing.

Have a look CLOSELY at AN. (Alternative Networks) - again like da. a recent floatation... think it could well follow a similar pattern.
