THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

max (57449) - the real point of my comment was the expansion and huge strain that welfare costs imposed on the taxpayers under the current system

of course, we all and any gov't have to determine how the annual financial cake should be divided up

clarkson - not hugely fussed either way, though his programme is certainly very entertaining .... however, he is certainly has an excessively high opinion of himself, but that in itself is no reason to scrap a very popular programme and sack its main character

The Graun is out to get him...hardly surprising, he's got a fag (wrong kind) hanging out of his mouth.

Good to see Cameron is complaining about Miliband being able to do deal with SNP and Lib/dem, while he and the present tory party are considered too toxic by the former parties for any of them to consider an alliance or coalition with.

The voters are beginning to know a chicken when they see one!

and perhaps they'll also recognise EM as a turkey before it's too late

MaxK - 11 Mar 2015 12:44 - 57460 of 81564

Class A turkey.

EM like the Labour party will rise like a phoenix above the ashes left by this torrid tory party.

After the election in May, is there any truth in the rumours that Redwood is going to run for leadership of the remaining right wing rump of the tories with Reese-Mogg as his bag carrier?

cynic - 11 Mar 2015 14:25 - 57463 of 81564

turkeys don't fly very well or for long

MaxK - 11 Mar 2015 15:39 - 57464 of 81564

Not sure what is going on...but what about the other party's?

David Cameron and party leaders indicate they will take part in digital election debate: live

Is it me ?...or some grey squirrels seem to have a tinge of red in their coats : grey squirrels turning red ?...

cynic - 12 Mar 2015 08:23 - 57468 of 81564

MrT - you consider yourself as sharp, articulate, vocal, intelligent and only interested in the good of the country, so have you even stood as local councillor?
if not, why not?

RICHARD LITTLEJOHN: Too white. Too male. And too damned British. No wonder the Beeb wants shot of Clarkson

Cohen’s decision to pull the remaining Top Gear episodes will mean wasting hundreds of thousands, maybe millions, of pounds of licence-payers’ money already spent on filmed sequences. It will also incur massive compensation claims from foreign broadcasters.

He couldn’t get away with that if he was a director of a commercial organisation, answerable to shareholders. And what about the millions of viewers being deprived of their favourite Sunday night show?

Cohen cares more about pandering to the political prejudices and petty jealousies of his Left-wing peer group in those Shoreditch salons. And that means securing his place in history as The Man Who Sacked Jeremy Clarkson.

jimmy b - 12 Mar 2015 10:18 - 57472 of 81564

Good piece by Littlejohn .
If they sack Clarkson ,it's game over for that programme without a doubt .
What i don't understand is why they are pulling the last 3 shows .
