Is this the one that was drawn in China the other night - who's ever heard of this trophy?

Chris Carson - 25 Aug 2017 17:20 - 5773 of 6918

Maureen took it seriously last year and won it :0) It was his route into Champions League this season. Everton and Arsenal will be trying to do the same. Arrogant Prick Joe :0)

Claret Dragon - 25 Aug 2017 18:54 - 5774 of 6918

Would love to be in Europa League.

Stan - 25 Aug 2017 21:25 - 5775 of 6918

With teams like Zenit, Ostersunds, FC Zlin and BATE Borisov Suppose you think your lot might win a few games )-;

Claret Dragon - 25 Aug 2017 21:30 - 5776 of 6918

Possibly WHU might get a draw here and there.

Stan - 25 Aug 2017 21:35 - 5777 of 6918

😃

Dil - 26 Aug 2017 18:01 - 5778 of 6918

And the dream start continues.

Cardiff City today became only the 5th team in the history of the English second tier to win their opening five matches.

The other four all got promoted at the end of the season.

Martini - 26 Aug 2017 22:43 - 5779 of 6918

Nice one Dil. See you in the PL if WBA survive!

Joe Say - 28 Aug 2017 07:55 - 5780 of 6918

I'll save CC doing a write up

Kicked off - Chelsea dominated - Rooney deservedly booked again (now he's not protected by wearing a Man u shirt) - Chelsea won

End of

Well done Dil to your lot seriously trying to join us in the Pre- Madona league and looking forward to taking the customary 4pts off you 😄

Chris Carson - 29 Aug 2017 00:32 - 5783 of 6918

Yeah great Joe, glad you enjoyed it! Great team Chelsea. See you at Goodison.

Joe Say - 29 Aug 2017 07:42 - 5784 of 6918

Unfortunately it looks like Man U are kicking into gear - mind you the league ain't won or lost in August

Claret Dragon - 29 Aug 2017 07:49 - 5785 of 6918

Not enjoying the start of this season.

Stan - 29 Aug 2017 08:24 - 5786 of 6918

Burnley's first 5 away games are Chelsea, Spuds, Liverpool, Everton and Man City so not the easiest start on paper, however our first 5 home are WBA, Screaming Alice, Uddersfield, Wet Spam and Newcastle so hopeful there.

This is Stan on the fly bridge at the Fortress signing out.

Joe Say - 30 Aug 2017 08:34 - 5787 of 6918

And ironically you're doing better away from home than you are at home

Stan - 30 Aug 2017 09:01 - 5788 of 6918

This is true...so far.

Barkley stuns Chelsea with late u-turn
Lyndon Lloyd Thursday 31 August 2017 83 Comments [Jump to last]

Ross Barkley has turned down a move to Chelsea after a £35m fee had been agreed with Everton and his medical was already underway.
Sky Sports reported that the 23-year-old was set to complete a deadline-beating £30m move to Stamford Bridge but changed his mind before the deal could be completed.

Though there are conflicting accounts of whether the player actually started his medical, the general story was corroborated by the Blues' major shareholder, Farhad Moshiri, who told Sky that Barkley wanted to reconsider his position in January, by which time he should have recovered from a hamstring injury.

Seems a strange decision by Ross. Lot of conspiracy theory's circulating. Surely Chelsea would have given him more money than Spurs would have paid him salary wise. Maybe money isn't a factor at all who actually knows. He needs to be playing, it wont be as a ten if he stays at Everton there are three now ahead of him. Weird situation.

Brilliant form my point of view

And shafted the club that is renowned for always turning the first offer down - even better

Is that the same way as Gaza..........

Wayne Rooney arrested on suspicion of drink-driving

Everton striker Wayne Rooney has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, the BBC understands.

England's all-time record scorer was stopped by police near his home in Cheshire on Thursday night.

Rooney, 31, announced his international retirement last week, after 53 goals for his country in 119 appearances.

He rejoined his boyhood club Everton in the summer and scored in each of his opening two Premier League games.

Cheshire Police declined to comment and Everton has not responded to the BBC's request for a statement.
