THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

at long last there's actually a sensible and non-abusive(!!) TALK thread on advfn - and yes, i know i said i'ld never frequent that place again

if you're tempted, then you'll need to tick the sub-box entitled "politics" just under the main menu bar

I didn't know Mike Boydell (aka: "Bullshare") was no longer a director of MoneyAM Limited. Apparently, he retired 31 May 2014.

From his postings and also his recent comments concerning 'moderator' work, it looks as though he is still 'around the place' and functioning for the company in some type of a capacity.

I didn't spend any money to look any deeper but the accounts I saw for MoneyAM Limited at https://www.duedil.com/company/04503731/moneyam-limited didn't seem to be too impressive.

Paddy Power odds on most seats
Cons 2/5 Lab 15/8

William Hill
C 2/5 L 7/4

Look at oddschecker for most seat and you will see every bookmaker has Conservatives as odds on and Labour odds against.

It is the same picture for who will be PM!

ExecLine - 24 Mar 2015 12:38 - 57842 of 81564

But are you placing any bets on it?

Haystack - 24 Mar 2015 12:42 - 57843 of 81564

I am sure they are right. The odds don't enable you to make much.

A&E doctors paid up to £3,200 a shift, in spiralling crisis

Agency nurses have been paid rates of almost £1,900 a shift, while doctors cost up to £3,200 each, as hospitals suffered the worst Accident & Emergency performance on record

By Laura Donnelly, Health Editor

8:00AM GMT 24 Mar 2015

NHS hospitals have paid doctors and nurses record sums amid a spiralling crisis in Accident & Emergency departments, new figures show.

Locum medics were able to charge up to £3,200 each per shift, with agency nurses on unprecedented rates of up to almost £1,900 a day, as casualty units struggled to cope this winter, an investigation has found.

The figures show that as hospitals suffered the worst A&E performance on record over Christmas and New Year, several NHS trusts became almost entirely dependent on agency staff.

At one trust, almost three quarters of doctors’ shifts were filled by temporary workers, the investigation by Sky News found.

The above info' on doctor's pay is totally incorrect.

The agencies they work for might receive these high rates but I am led to believe the doctors themselves aren't paid anything like these amounts.

And any locum who can charge himself out at £3,200 for a shift must be a negotiative genius.

Fred1new - 24 Mar 2015 13:48 - 57846 of 81564

What do you expect?

Maggie made the doctors "business" men and the applied their skills, couple with a crazy review of "working hours" and "contracts" of responsibility by Labour around about 2004.

But it suits Cameron and his loonies who want to reduce the "State".
