Morning Q! Well, as I said yesterday, the control centre was buzzing, even to the point it was quite annoying trying to have a conversation with all the noise in the background of people talking and telephones ringing, I have certainly not heard it like that before.

The alexa rankings are looking fantastic with us nearing that top 100k spot and regardless of the comments that )'these are only hits on the website, sniff sniff') to move up from 600k level so quickly is a good sign, unless we believe perhaps Mr. Jauncey and team employ somebody to sit there all day refreshing the website!!!!!!!!

I called an acquintance last night and whilst chatting, asked him his daughters mobile number. Whist we were chatting, I entered the number and at the end of the conversation, asked him to ring the 0844 number I gave him.

5 minutes later, he rang back, after having a chat (most unexpectedly) with his daughter in college. 'How did you do that you clever b*****d' he asked!

Once I told him the 10p call to a mobile, he had me issue him with three more for his other two + son!

There's no doubt in my mind that CCR will not be waiting 18 months for any revenue additions to Envesta, I think that estimation was far too conservative and fully expect some very, very positive news when the trading update is issued.

Morning all. Really don't want to go to work today - would much rather spend it pottering in the garden! Oh, well, never mind. I am very relaxed about these shares at the mo, even though they have 'drop' days, because I just feel very confident of the company and the product. I don't feel the need to monitor them closely in case they take a turn for the worse or anything, which I always have in the past with other shares. I know my money is safe with EVS.

Got to go now. Happy hunting boys! TTFN

http://www.1899.com/ is also 10p per minute to a mobile, and no need to register any numbers! Mind you it was a pretty original way to get a friend's daughter's phone number :-)

QUINAN - 09 Jun 2005 08:12 - 582 of 1643

Hi advan it is nice to see the alexa rankings looking strong, this is a sign things are moving, as you say I cant see peeps sat there all day clicking on the CCR site. I also see ADVFN is still down I think its having big probs. Did you see my post last night regarding the useful links on the CCR site is there some connection with EVS and the links as EVS have had a contract with the Asian news site, and there certainly seems to be a lot of links to sites which EVS would be targeting for business

QUINAN - 09 Jun 2005 08:13 - 583 of 1643

morning tq

Haystack - 09 Jun 2005 08:15 - 584 of 1643

The Alexa ratings are just a log of web site hits. It doesn't equate to new business. Thye are very unreliable as anyone can set up some html to keep polling a web site to up numbers.

advans - 09 Jun 2005 08:16 - 585 of 1643

Morning Taquila, nice day too for the weeding!

Kayak, 10p to a mobile , 1899? Not quite methinks!!

Mon-Fri 6pm/8am: 10p/min
Mon-Fri 8am/6pm: 10p/min
Connection fee: 3p.

There's that old 'connection fee to add in and of course your credit card details and not forgetting their statement that all your data will be passed to various people in various countries?

Which would you prefer???

The only way forward!!!! (And it FEEEEEEEEEEELS good too!!!)

Haystack - 09 Jun 2005 08:17 - 587 of 1643

One MM has dropped his price already this morning. IT looks like being a red day for EVS.

The Level 2 is very good on this site. It has a number of very good extra features.

Maybe MAM might let some people have a short free trial of it. They have done this previously for new people.

advans - 09 Jun 2005 08:18 - 588 of 1643

To be fair, they do give you a 3p rate at weekends + 3p connection which is good, but most mobile use is business days!!!!

Kayak - 09 Jun 2005 08:22 - 589 of 1643

advans, I definitely prefer to be able to dial any mobile number whatsoever without first having to find a PC to register it, or having to look up in my diary the special 0844 number amongst the other 100 :-)

Haystack - 09 Jun 2005 08:23 - 590 of 1643

The www.1899.com system comes into its own after a couple of minutes when the connection charge doesn't matter and the lower per minute charge makes all the difference..

Their rates to US & Canada cannot be beaten. Connection charge of 3p and then

USA 0.5p per min
Canada 0.5p per min

UK is 0p per minute to a landline. All you pay is the connection charge and then it is free for as long as you like. No per minute charge. A fixed rate call of 3p to talk all day.

If only everybody would do this on the other side, things would be far more pleasant!

So nice not to see the same old graphs and nonsense.

Kayak, 1899 are using some lost leaders in an attempt to increase their UK business. Present UK users are approximately 5000 after years of trading, which is a bit shabby really when there are already more than that using CCR after only a couple of months!!!

It would be obvious to anybody with a brain that no company can sustain free international calls all day. It would only take one company to get wind of that and their profits would fly out their Swiss Window!

CCR have started with realistic and sustainable rates and as the wise amongst us all know, are NOT just an international call business.

When details are released of just what CCR is being utilised for, perhaps then all will be clear!!!

Kayak - 09 Jun 2005 08:34 - 592 of 1643

Anyway if you want 10p per minute to mobiles without a connection fee, there are plenty of other services, just dial the number you require after the number given, no need to register:

0871 999 72 72 at 10p on Telediscount0871 280 5 280 at 10p on PennyPhone0871 999 14 14 at 10p on Telestunt0871 999 17 17 at 10p on CheapestCalls0871 999 53 53 at 10p on TeleSavers0871 999 32 32 at 10p on Dialaround0871 999 47 47 at 10p on DialWise0871 999 63 63 at 10p on BestMinutes

QUINAN - 09 Jun 2005 08:35 - 593 of 1643

Kayak Its very simple once you have your new number you enter in to your mobile by editing you original number, all CCR numbers start with 0871 or 0844 so you only have to remember the ******* number quite simple. But you have to go with what suite you

Parthian - 09 Jun 2005 08:36 - 594 of 1643

advans, I tried this 10p to a mobile and ended up paying 32p for a 20 second call. It was from a pay-as-you-go (o2) into a pay-as-you-go (vodafone). Any ideas?

Haystack - 09 Jun 2005 08:40 - 595 of 1643

The 1899 and 18866 services have been offering cheap calls for a couple of years. That is not a loss leader. What does it matter anyway as far as the consumer is concerned anyway? It has saved me huge amounts. It has not acted as a loss leader for me as I only use the cheapest rates that they provide.

Your argument does not make sense. I know of several businesses that use the 0.5p rates to the US. A couple of well known posters with companies post on the Traders BB here about how much money they save using 18866 and 1899. You try telling them that the cheap rates are a loss leader.

advans - 09 Jun 2005 08:41 - 596 of 1643

Kayak, telestunt charges 15p to a mobile, Pennyphone charges 10p but look at the small print-

How much exactly do I pay?
You only pay the pennyphone rate. There are no extra costs, VAT is already included. Call rates are announced before each connection, this way you are always in control of your costs.
Your telecom provider charges a connection fee for each call. BT and NTL charge 5p. Telewest charges 6p for 08-numbers and 10p for 09-numbers. For more information please contact your telecom provider

This is the same with all, a catch somewhere! I researched all these in the past and they all something that leaves them behind CCR.

advans - 09 Jun 2005 08:43 - 597 of 1643

Parthian, Mobile to Mobile suffers the same probs throughout the industry as each service provider adds their bit on to the 10p.

There are a few exceptions and from what I have learned recently, mobile operators are soon to be kicked into touch.

You need to ring Envesta to find out which operators charge what because they all have different charges.

I was under the impression that on an 02 contract, there were no charges, but I could be mistaken on that!

Haystack - 09 Jun 2005 08:49 - 598 of 1643

There is no catch with 1899 and 18866 as there are no extra charges. When I call UK landlines it says "this is free phone call" or "0p per minute". I just oay the connection charge and I can stay on all day for free.
