THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

MaxK - 26 Mar 2015 20:10 - 58001 of 81564

It's suggestion Fred, it aint writ in stone.

required field - 26 Mar 2015 20:11 - 58002 of 81564

Just a theory.....nothing else....as it is bizarre that this copilot should commit such a crazy suicide....perhaps what I...suggested can be performed...?...

Haystack - 26 Mar 2015 20:13 - 58003 of 81564

That's a common misconception. You can be hypnotised into doing things against your normal moral code or that you would otherwise not do. It is really a matter of how deep the hypnosis is. To get to a state called somnambulism (literally sleep walking) usually requires several sessions with each deeper than the last. A posthypnotic suggestion can be made for an action in the future.

I know about this as I am a qualified hypnotherapist and psychotherapist. Although I have been in IT since 1965, I qualified as hypnotherapist about 16 years ago.

MaxK - 26 Mar 2015 20:15 - 58004 of 81564

That's not hypnosis, that's brainwashing.

required field - 26 Mar 2015 20:18 - 58005 of 81564

Wonder Haystack.....this is interesting....

required field - 26 Mar 2015 20:21 - 58006 of 81564

I knew a French person that sleepwalked...(never saw it happen) but many a tale from friends......in the cinema yes !... : fell asleep and started to strangle the guy in front !....another time got up and started to walk on top of a bunkbed and fell to the ground from 8 feet up....crazy !.....and yet a normal guy !....I'm just wondering if the copilot fell asleep ?...

The CIA used/use hypnosis/brain washing with the added help of drugs.

Remote viewing is/was used by the military , not 100% accurate but results were worth doing.

required field - 26 Mar 2015 20:49 - 58009 of 81564

Could be drugs/depressants ......

Haystack - 26 Mar 2015 20:59 - 58010 of 81564

Remote viewing was abandoned quite a while ago with no useful results. More recent experiments under better controlled conditions proved useless.

POLITICAL DEBATE
i know i was always likely to say so, but EM really does not present himself well at all

the psychiatrists will certainly pick up on his defensive move of tending to retreat behind his podium after a question from the audience

he also wanders around the stage too much and does not seem to have anything of substance to say

==============

jeepers!
paxo is absolutely mangling EM
i cannot believe that EM is just blundering and stumbling along in the way he is

MaxK - 26 Mar 2015 22:42 - 58012 of 81564

Cameroon got a rough ride from Paxo, who didn't handle it very well...usual stuff, answer anything but the question asked........FAIL

Watching Paxo demolish Millibandus was almost painfull, even the audience was laughing at him at his attempts to answer questions without tripping over his own feet.

Bad for Cameroon, but an absolute disaster for Milli...he's just not up to the job of lying to the people.

Haystack - 26 Mar 2015 22:52 - 58013 of 81564

The initial poll for the Guardian is 64% Cameron 46% Miliband

Fred1new - 26 Mar 2015 22:53 - 58014 of 81564

Haze,

Before boasting about your qualifications in hypnosis I would suggest your depth and breadth of reading and question the validity of those who provided you your qualification.

Perhaps, you swallowed their suggestions.

jimmy b - 26 Mar 2015 23:19 - 58015 of 81564

Shut up Fred !

ELECTION DEBATE
whatever one's own political leanings, i post below the final analysis from the Guardian, which is hardly a paper that is known for being pro-Tory .....

The instant Guardian/ICM poll found that David Cameron had narrowly “won” the contest, with 54% saying that the PM came out on top once the don’t knows were excluded, compared with just 46% who felt that Miliband had the edge.

The sample of viewers, who were weighted to bring them in line with the broader population, were asked to put aside their party preference and concentrate only on what they heard during the programme. 46% felt that Cameron had the best arguments, as against 44% who said the same of Miliband.

Cameron was also judged slightly more convincing – by 48% to 43% – and to have the more appealing personality, by 46% to 42%. He chalked up a clearer win on “actually answering the questions asked”, by 44% to 37%.

David Cameron retains his lead as best prime minister in this survey - but by a smaller margin than in many past polls – he is preferred on this count by 48% as against just 40% for Miliband.

election debate total waste of time made me feel like not voting and now might not
never spoke about the real issues immigration killing the services

Fred1new - 27 Mar 2015 08:04 - 58019 of 81564

Manuel,

At the end of the interview by Paxman last night Cameron looked as if he knew he was going to hell in a handcart!

Dodgy Dave's smirking and blustering did him no good at all.
