Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Has everyone got a nick name in your world of dementia

grannyboy - 16 Nov 2016 08:48 - 5839 of 12628

Everyone should realise that fred isn't there to disperse any intelligent
conversation or measured opinion, he's there just to have the pizz taken
out of him, he's our plaything, imagine him being the mouse and the rest
of us are the mouse hating moggie!!!

Fred1new - 16 Nov 2016 08:54 - 5840 of 12628

Dumbo.

Only when suitable.

Granny,

You appear to be full of yesterday's pizza.

grannyboy - 16 Nov 2016 09:01 - 5841 of 12628

Granny,

"You appear to be full of yesterday's pizza."

WOW! That gem took me by complete surprise, i have to go lie down for
a while, i've come over all flushed...

cynic - 16 Nov 2016 09:03 - 5842 of 12628

oh lord!
i have GB filtered (and for good reason) and him alone, so i can see that he continues to clutter up the threads

grannyboy - 16 Nov 2016 09:08 - 5843 of 12628

Hahaha...Yes ok cynic we believe you when you say you've got me on
filter...Reading my post gives you the chance to learn something because
you tend to struggle on certain things..

grannyboy - 16 Nov 2016 09:14 - 5844 of 12628

I've been very unfair to little fred in singling him out for ridicule on
a daily basis..Well i'm sorry for that i'm now going to equalise it by ridiculing
cynic as well...

jimmy b - 16 Nov 2016 09:23 - 5845 of 12628

Your opinion cynic , everyone else but you thinks Fred's an idiot .

cynic - 16 Nov 2016 09:40 - 5846 of 12628

that's entirely up to you, but "idiot" is a descriptive noun that more readily attaches to some others here

many of fred's spoutings are absolute crap, but i've come to the conclusion that he posts them to needle, and clearly succeeds

when he posts sensibly - though you guys tend to lose those - he can be interesting even if contrary to my own views

grannyboy - 16 Nov 2016 09:44 - 5847 of 12628

And that gents tells you all you need to know about cynic, and his inability
to sieve the wheat from the chaff...LMAO!

Fred1new - 16 Nov 2016 21:28 - 5848 of 12628

TM's dream.

Fred1new - 17 Nov 2016 12:11 - 5851 of 12628

Dumbo.

Thank you, for your opinion of the day.

Perhaps, you should hold hands with Cruella when she jumps.

mentor - 17 Nov 2016 13:45 - 5852 of 12628

Should " grannyboy " get a BIG coach and start filling it up with Polish and send them back where they belong? keep a seat just in case "cynic" feels lonely

BRUSSELS, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Britain should keep contributing to the European Union's seven-year budget until the end of the budgetary period in 2020, even though it could leave the EU in 2019, Poland's deputy foreign minister said.

Konrad Szymanski spoke a day after he met the European Commission's main Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier, and the head of the EU's internal Brexit task force, Didier Seeuws. They are holding meetings with representatives of all 27 countries remaining in the EU to find out what their positions are.

"I think the EU will stand on the position that in the current financial framework Britain's budget contributions should be upheld," Szymanski told reporters on Thursday..............

iturama - 17 Nov 2016 15:53 - 5856 of 12628

UKIP has misspent almost half a million euros of EU funding on its own electioneering and to help boost their Brexit campaign, according to a leaked audit seen by Sky News.
The money was provided to the European political grouping, the Alliance for Direct Democracy in Europe (ADDE), which is dominated by UKIP.
The ADDE was created by Mr Farage two years ago and is made up of populist right wing and Eurosceptic MEPs, around half of whom are from UKIP.
Apparently the money wasn't spent according to "the rules".
While two wrongs don't make a right, if there was something wrong, it is interesting to look at the EU 2015 accounts.
In 2015 the EU spent €145 billion—or about £105 billion, at the average exchange rate for 2015. That's a few billion less than what the UK spent on the NHS. The auditors found that 3.8% of EU spending was subject to "error" - a polite terms for misspent or not according to the "rules". That is €5.5B.
