BRUSSELS, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Britain should keep contributing to the European Union's seven-year budget until the end of the budgetary period in 2020, even though it could leave the EU in 2019, Poland's deputy foreign minister said.

Konrad Szymanski spoke a day after he met the European Commission's main Brexit negotiator, Michel Barnier, and the head of the EU's internal Brexit task force, Didier Seeuws. They are holding meetings with representatives of all 27 countries remaining in the EU to find out what their positions are.

"I think the EU will stand on the position that in the current financial framework Britain's budget contributions should be upheld," Szymanski told reporters on Thursday..............

UKIP has misspent almost half a million euros of EU funding on its own electioneering and to help boost their Brexit campaign, according to a leaked audit seen by Sky News.
The money was provided to the European political grouping, the Alliance for Direct Democracy in Europe (ADDE), which is dominated by UKIP.
The ADDE was created by Mr Farage two years ago and is made up of populist right wing and Eurosceptic MEPs, around half of whom are from UKIP.
Apparently the money wasn't spent according to "the rules".
While two wrongs don't make a right, if there was something wrong, it is interesting to look at the EU 2015 accounts.
In 2015 the EU spent €145 billion—or about £105 billion, at the average exchange rate for 2015. That's a few billion less than what the UK spent on the NHS. The auditors found that 3.8% of EU spending was subject to "error" - a polite terms for misspent or not according to the "rules". That is €5.5B.

Contrary to popular belief, I do NOT have anything against Polish people!.
just the general open door immigration policy of being connected to the EU.

My main concern is the Islamification of the West, ably assisted by our so
called leaders...

Threats to inflict serous injury is a criminal offence. It does not matter if the person intended to carry it out, if the target of said threats believed they were in danger then they can report it to the police who would be obliged to investigate and if convicted a stringent penalty applied.

I am amazed at how casually people on the web make such threats even if it was meant to be flippant. I would not risk my future for such small gratification.

MaxK - 17 Nov 2016 19:11 - 5863 of 12628

Who's threatening who?

jimmy b - 17 Nov 2016 21:50 - 5864 of 12628

I don't think Martini has a sense of humour ,maybe he's a special constable or traffic warden.

In fact it's funnier if you read it using Chris Eubanks voice :)

Haystack - 17 Nov 2016 23:39 - 5865 of 12628

Martini has a better sense of humour than most on this site.

VICTIM - 18 Nov 2016 07:33 - 5866 of 12628

Pro-EU peer Lord Kerr says UK needs migration because Britons are 'stupid'

By Laura Hughes, Political Correspondent
18 November 2016 • 7:57am

A Europhile peer has provoked outrage after he claimed Britain needs intelligent migrants to come to the UK because "native" Britons are "so bloody stupid".

Peter Lilly:

"They think they are there to rule the country and hugely resent any interference by the electorate."
