<>Desire Petroleum plc (Desire) is a UK company listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) dedicated to exploring for oil and gas in the North Falkland Basin.

Desire has recently completed a 6 well exploration programme. The Liz well encountered dry gas and gas condensate at 2 separate levels while other wells recorded shows.
Together with the Rockhopper Exploration Sea Lion oil discovery in the licence to the north, these wells have provided significant encouragement for the potential of the North Falkland Basin. The oil at Sea Lion is of particular interest as this has demonstrated that oil is trapped in potentially significant quantities in a fan sandstone on the east flank of the basin. It is believed that over 50% of this east flank play fairway is on Desire operated acreage.

Desire has now completed new 3D seismic acquisition which provides coverage over the east flank play, Ann, Pam and Helen prospects. The results from fast-track processing of priority areas are provided in the 2011 CPR. A farm-out to Rockhopper has been announced. Chav thanks for update on OG, been shooting haggis up in Highlands and just slipped clogs on to clear the water from down the mine. Spikes still needed in Edinburgh.

Never mind spikes, I'm hoping to wear flip flops in Syria on Monday so fingers crossed the flights keep going to schedule as I need to be back for Chrimbo

They are having no problems with their supply chain because they don't rely on South America for anything!!! Everything is shipped from the UK...reliability is everything and South Americans have, justly, got a reputation for being completely unreliable

It's not a problem....Falklands has relied on it's shipping link with the UK ever since a Brit discovered them!!!...that's pre Argentina being called Argentina by the way.

Oil industry in the FI have NEVER dealt with them....everything shipped from the UK.

The sooner the Lan Chile flights are stopped the better and then the FI's can be totally focused towards the reliable North.

Not a case of the cheapest...if you can't rely on the supply line then there is no supply line!

South American countries are like asbo kids...always falling out with their neighbors and best to ignore. Any agreements they make is always done with their fingers crossed behind their backs and none of them trust each other.
