A bit bizarre, really. I suppose I can understand it if, for some reason, the guy is shorting COH. But if he achieves his aim - and buys back in at 35p - presumably he'll then start singing the firm's praises. I'm probably being very naive but why not just invest in a company you believe in and save all the aggro? If it doesn't deliver, simply move on.
As for the Diggle angle, I admit I haven't looked into that (all sounds a bit conspiratorial) but the bottom line is that, like you AdieH, I have been impressed by what RW and his team are doing. He has set sensible targets and always bettered them. OK, competition is hotting up and profits may be a little slow arriving etc but I don't think that, if you're being realistic, there can be much to grumble about (apart from the temporary sp plateau!).
I may not have quite the attachment to COH as I do to some of my long term, more mainstream holdings such as IPR, SPI and CUK but it's safe to say that, given the track record and the promise of COH, I certainly won't be selling up any time soon.

A balanced view is ALL comments... AdieH not just yours....
Stop treating this thread as your personal one...its for everyone...

Please come back David 10B

Kindly be advised of the following: when one shorts a stock one takes a formal position with one's broker and usually pays up front.

It is not possible to short AIM listed stocks!

When one seeks a value for an investment that is bargain hunting and not shorting as your myopic understanding of the topic would seem to be suggesting..

Your comments, allthough trivial and poorly informed do come at an appropriate time as I am seeking the bottom of MLR.

On some BBs posters state that it will fall to below the current placing level of 10p.

I dont agree with that but I respect the opinion expressed as all opinion are thought provoking, keeping one alert and therefore healthy.

I dont throw wobblers and get all ignorant and nasty over the expression of a point of view, as others have thiers and I have mine.

COH have just diluted their shareholder value, as too have MLR.

I feel that MLR is now cheap today's price, and that COH would be good value at 35p and no more.

At 35p its worth a punt to me and "definately" not at any more as for the reasons I have tried to dispassionately outline to you.

There are many who feel that COH has now missed the boat in not getting prime locations when they had little competition and around 3 million pounds in shareholder's money just sitting in the bank.

Now they have come back for even more money and with nothing, it would appear, in mind as to expansion plans, and those that they may have are looking very expensive indeed.

Add this to the increasing competition, which equates to reduced revenues, and you could be on a losers when appying the law of diminishing returns

If it goes there, to 35p or thereabouts I will take a punt, if not I wont and it really is ias simple as that.

Furthermore my opinion will hardly move mountains, so please dont fret over it.

I do not believe that one should fall in love with a stock especially as there are some very beautiful ladies out there.

Stocks are for making money out of how ever "nice" the board may be!

Have a very pleasant evening.

It's not worth locking horns with you, David. I think we'll have to agree to disagree over COH. Why not pop back here when the sp reaches your 35p target and you become an investor again?

AdieH - 08 May 2007 21:09 - 591 of 2037

Foale please read comments... Why would someone come on here and post negative comments if they don't have an agenda...for a start. David has admitted that he has attended the last two AGM's as I have and if he is the same gentleman that I think he is then at the first AGM he came across as abit miserable and negative (with his questions)I did wonder why he was there! The next AGM he praised RW and the board for the progress they had made and he couldn't have seemed happier... 5 months down the line the change is incredible, they have achieved all their targets and they have a further 3.8 million pledged by the institutions for further expansion. I would agree that I would have hoped the money raised last time might have been used but there are solid reasons it has not been invested yet... I have some answers from emails rec from RW and the Director in Czech... (will forward to anyone who wishes to view them)...As for hogging this board I personally couldn't give a damn what you think and I do appreciate negative thoughts but not blatant shorting tactics... oh I would consider buying in again if they reach 35p says it all...

Don't be a prat -of course you can.

David10b sounds like the proven prat and liar that was a plague on the dark side, pretending to live on a yacht and travel the globe. LOL! Outed as a Welsh idiot who did a quick runner to sunnier climes. Personal grudge with RW. Seems to be attempting a degree of reasonableness here. Squelched.

AdieH - 08 May 2007 22:12 - 593 of 2037

So you from the otherside too zscrooge... who are you on Ample.. or are you from the even darker side ADVFN (I don't frequent that side)... Waxman may have turned up again, if it is then the 14p he was trying to short to didn't last too long...

David10B - 09 May 2007 08:46 - 594 of 2037

It never ceases to amaze me how petty some people can be within the hard core of shareholders(the status quo) when one expresses a view that is contrary to thiers..

I have COH on my watch list only. I have never been a shareholder and I have never posted about COH on other BBs

My main holding in coffe retailers is CFE and an investment in coffee shops in Eastern Europe would have to be darned tempting for my to invest. Which is why its imporootant for such an investment to be asset backed, as is called for under the priciples of Fundamental Analysis.

As I stated above and reproduced here:-

Nothing more to be said: let the figures and forthcoming events do the talking for the SP.

Have a nice day.

However it seems to be the case that when there is nothing more to be said--_some fool alway says it!

Why not just sit and watch the SP as I am doing.

Incidentally its down today!

AdieH - 09 May 2007 08:56 - 595 of 2037

How have you attended any AGM's if you don't hold shares, there seems to be some rather grey area's in your posting David? Please refer to your earlier posts where you have stated you attended AGM's... You seem to be telling lies David...

David10B - 09 May 2007 09:23 - 596 of 2037

Hardly old chap. I attended, as I do most AGMs, with a very good friend of mine who manages our little club group of wannabie investors, and who is far more experienced than me.

AdieH - 09 May 2007 10:22 - 597 of 2037

So how did you attend if you don't hold shares? Mmmmmm the plot thickens Old Chap...

David10B - 09 May 2007 10:45 - 598 of 2037

We seem to be going around in circles here, which is pointless.

Therefore please think whatever you wish!

Meanwhile I will keep an eye on the SP.

Have a really great and frustration free day.

AdieH - 09 May 2007 10:53 - 599 of 2037

No fustration here, just proves my point that you lied in your original response to my question...

Happy here till my target of 1.00 is achieved and I await an RNS regarding future investment of the money sat in the bank getting interest... Will post any news/response I get from RW in regard to the millions sat in the bank...

David10B - 09 May 2007 10:57 - 600 of 2037

Whatever you wish, therefore I will assume that you dont mind me waiting for my estimated 35P?

bmw325 - 09 May 2007 11:07 - 601 of 2037

David10B...the Welsh muppet from Naples has returned...LOL.

AdieH - 09 May 2007 11:08 - 602 of 2037

Good for you, if it does goes there then will be time to overage down... on my free shares...

David10B - 09 May 2007 11:39 - 603 of 2037

When you have directors selling their shares and then coming to the market to raise more cash you have a clear recipe for disaster, be it COH or any other PLC.

When there is nothing more to be said some fool always gets up and says it.

AdieH - 09 May 2007 11:46 - 604 of 2037

But theres plenty to be said, directors selling... my understanding from the last RNS that W Currie is buying 250,000 shares... You really should get some stronger glasses or lay off the spirits old chap...

David10B - 09 May 2007 12:20 - 605 of 2037

As I understand it Mr Currie was forced to buy to save face when Mr Worthington sold the last time. In fact he was vertually picking up Mr Worthington's untimely diosposals

It would have proven to be most inappropriate if Mr Currie have not made a token purchase this time hense the paultry amount of said purchase.

I mean get real 9,500,000 new ordinary shares of 1p each issued in dilution and Mr Currie picks up just 243,902 at 41p.

Also please note the price today is bid 40.5p.

I feel the share is overvalued! Nothing more than an opinion based on Fundamental Analysis.

I trust you continue to have a wonderful day.

foale - 09 May 2007 12:59 - 606 of 2037

AdieH I did read the comments... what else was I likely to be doing its a bulletin board lol.....

But there does still exist the possibility that once done so my opinion may still differ from yours....shocking eh...

Perhaps if you posted a bit less re hashing your same few points over and over...others with fresh opinions might feel that are able to post...

They might even agree with yours...
