<>Desire Petroleum plc (Desire) is a UK company listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) dedicated to exploring for oil and gas in the North Falkland Basin.

Desire has recently completed a 6 well exploration programme. The Liz well encountered dry gas and gas condensate at 2 separate levels while other wells recorded shows.
Together with the Rockhopper Exploration Sea Lion oil discovery in the licence to the north, these wells have provided significant encouragement for the potential of the North Falkland Basin. The oil at Sea Lion is of particular interest as this has demonstrated that oil is trapped in potentially significant quantities in a fan sandstone on the east flank of the basin. It is believed that over 50% of this east flank play fairway is on Desire operated acreage.

Desire has now completed new 3D seismic acquisition which provides coverage over the east flank play, Ann, Pam and Helen prospects. The results from fast-track processing of priority areas are provided in the 2011 CPR. A farm-out to Rockhopper has been announced. Oil industry in the FI have NEVER dealt with them....everything shipped from the UK.

The sooner the Lan Chile flights are stopped the better and then the FI's can be totally focused towards the reliable North.

confess i have lost faith in this company, and imo, they are scheduled for the glue factory ... they may still have other sites to explore, but they are surely the last desperate throw of the dice for the dying man ..... DES will assuredly have started with the most likely prospect and are now working down the list - now trying to throw 3 successive double 6s; possible but unlikely

Cynic i think your right you start with your best prospect am still holding as its still early days and as life you just never know whats round the corner and Desire is such a roller coaster i woundnt put it passed them to hit the mother of all mothers with this next drill Jacinta is huge but has the odds stacked against her.

Twitchy times as money running out and time and prospects that can be drilled at this present time but as said early days for the Falklands.
