Good point. Think I will give this a go.

Thanks

J,
I have carried out your suggestion with no luck. I would like to confirm that when I disable my ad blocking thru Norton I am getting runtime errors for all areas of Money am, including when I log on, not just for the investors room.

NickB - 07 Jul 2004 16:39 - 61 of 107

I like 'Terminal' L2 etc sadly i am on a sick PC (new!) so had a few crashes that seem Jarva/display related but thats my problem !

1 On Terminal i didnt seem to have an option to have a window showing rises/fallers etc

2 it would have been nice to be able to customise the graph in terminal like you can on the main graph page

Otherwise looking good

Thanks

IBM mouse balls
This was a real memo sent out by a computer company (IBM) to its employees in all seriousness. It went to all field engineers regarding a computer peripheral problem. The author of this memo was quite genuine. The engineers rolled on the floor! Especially note the last couple of sentences...
-----------------------
To: Whom this may concern
Re: Replacement of mouse balls
If a mouse fails to operate or should it perform erratically, it may need a ball replacement.
Mouse balls are now available as FRU (Field Replacement Units). Because of the delicate nature of this procedure, replacement of mouse balls should only be attempted by properly trained personnel.
Before proceeding, determine the type of mouse balls by examining the underside of the mouse. Domestic balls will be larger and harder than foreign balls. Ball removal procedures differ depending upon the manufacturer of the mouse. Foreign balls can be replaced using the pop off method.
Domestic balls are replaced by using the twist off method.. Mouse balls are not usually static sensitive. However, excessive handling can result in sudden discharge.
Upon completion of ball replacement, the mouse may be used immediately. It is recommended that each person have a pair of spare balls for maintaining optimum customer satisfaction.
Any customer missing his balls should contact the local personnel in charge of removing and replacing these necessary items.
Please keep in mind that a customer without properly working balls is an unhappy customer

BAgnut,

We have your E mail in the office now and will take a look at it this morning to see if we can get you up and running.

NickB,

IN answer to your questions,

1. If there is no preset option to place something in a terminal window, you can select URL under content and then enter the web address you want - this also applies if you wish to have something from another site displayed in there.

2. There is a certain amount of customisability for the charts - i.e. you can pick the period, size and whether it is line bar or candle - we have tried to put the main things in their for monitoring.

STORMCALLER - 08 Jul 2004 12:25 - 67 of 107

CHAPS,
Can't access unstreamed stockwatch since I registered for the trial, message says my subscription doesn't cover it, with streaming on get message java applet failed, so I am screwed at moment!

Regards
SC

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Jul 2004 12:29 - 68 of 107

SC,

I will get the boys to takle a look into this but in the meantime, could you try and force a refresh on the streaming prices (Ctrl + F5)

Regards

Ian

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Jul 2004 12:31 - 69 of 107

SC,

If you log out and log back in you should now be able to access the non streaming stockwatch again - can you let me know whether the refresh cured the streaming problem?

Ian

STORMCALLER - 08 Jul 2004 13:06 - 70 of 107

Ian,
Thanks for fixing the non-streaming, that was main problem. Don't know why streaming dowesn't work, could it be company firewall ?

These are messages I get, this one is in middle of window:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.deltastream.applet.stock.StockApplet.class

This one in bar at bottom of screen:
load: class com.deltastream.applet.stock.StockApplet.class not found

ctrl F5 results in this message: Loading Java Applet …

I am running IE5.5

So if there is a way to get it working that would be great, but I am not expecting miracles
Regards
SC

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Jul 2004 13:07 - 71 of 107

SC,

If you are behind a company firewall, this is most likely the cause of the problem.

You would need to speak to your system administrator to see if this could be allowed through.

Ian

STORMCALLER - 08 Jul 2004 13:11 - 72 of 107

IAN,
I suspected, that may be the case, and I don't think they will do that for me, I think dismissal is more likely...
As I said before, the main problem was being unable to see non-streaming Stockwatch and that is now fixed, thank you.

Regards
SC

Ian

Can you tell me if level works on a mac running panther. It keeps causing my browser (Safari or Mozilla) to quit when level 2 selected. Both browser work ok with live stream on stockwatch. Is it my computer of is my operating system not compatible with youe level 2 feed

regards

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Jul 2004 14:10 - 75 of 107

slmchow,

Level 2 and all of the MoneyAM site was designed to work both on PC and Mac and with different browsers. To help you, Level 2 works as a pop up, so I do not know whether something on your system is causing your browser to crash due to this.

Big Al - 08 Jul 2004 14:36 - 76 of 107

When is Level 4 out?

;-))

slmchow - 08 Jul 2004 15:45 - 77 of 107

Ian

Thanks but it was not the pop-ups tried it and nothing doing. It must be something with Safari or Mozilla. I just downloaded Netscape 7 and Level 2 works fine with it

Regards

IanT(MoneyAM) - 08 Jul 2004 15:50 - 78 of 107

slmchow,

Glad to see you are up and running it should work with safari and mozilla. We will have a think about this.
