Had a wounderful storm about 20min. ago. Another wounderful storm on my stock watch all blue this today with WGT 18.18% and YOO 11.32% being the best.

Just back from work. What a nice surprise. 2 reds (hmy and ciu) and the rest all blue. Overall down 2.6% yesterday but up 1.9% today so the portfolio is looking much better. Nice recovery from YOO but NLR has some way to go....perhaps tomorrow
Wouldn't life be boring without days like these. Now where are my beta-blockers!!!

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) - Intel Corp. shares gained 3% Tuesday evening as the world's largest chipmaker reported earnings that beat analysts' estimates, while Yahoo Inc. shares jumped more than 5% after it said quarterly profit doubled.

The Nasdaq-100 After Hours Indicator, which tracks the evening action of the technology index's leading shares, rose 9.42 points to 1430.22.
Intel Corp. (INTC: news, chart, profile) traded up to $23.32 after the company reported a first-quarter profit of $2.2 billion, or 34 cents a share. Sales climbed 17% to $9.4 billion. The results beat Wall Street's expectations of 31 cents a share on revenue of $9.3 billion. See full story.
Chip equipment makers Applied Materials Inc. (AMAT: news, chart, profile) and KLA-Tencor Corp. (KLAC: news, chart, profile) , Lam Research Corp. (LRCX: news, chart, profile) and Novellus Systems (NVLS: news, chart, profile) all also moved up around in heavy after hours volume.
Yahoo Inc. (YHOO: news, chart, profile) shares popped to $34.90 after the company posted earnings of $205 million, or 14 cents per share, in the first quarter. Quarterly sales grew to $1.17 billion from $758 million.
Yahoo generated revenue of $821 million, topping analysts' expectations of $795 million and 11 cents a share. See full story.
Shares of Internet titans Google Inc. (GOOG: news, chart, profile) and eBay Inc. (EBAY: news, chart, profile) also rose more than 4% and 2%, respectively.
Avaya Inc. (AV: news, chart, profile) shares plunged nearly 18% to $8.70 after the company reported its second quarter earnings fell sharply. The company predicted that it would not meet its prior fiscal 2005 forecast. In the latest quarter, Avaya earned $36 million, or 7 cents a share. Revenue rose 21% to $1.22 billion. See full story.
Juniper Networks (JNPR: news, chart, profile) shares gained over 5% to $22.41 after reporting its first-quarter profit more than doubled to $75.4 million, or 13 cents a share. Excluding certain charges, Juniper earned 16 cents a share, beating estimates by a penny. Sales doubled to $449 million from $224 million, topping estimates of $440 million. See full story.
Sigmatel Inc. (SGTL: news, chart, profile) shares rose 7.5% to $33 after the company reported a first-quarter profit of $25.5 million, or 68 cents a share, on $99.3 million in revenue. Analysts surveyed by Thomson First Call, however, forecast a profit of 46 cents a share on $85 million in revenue.
CheckFree Corp. (CKFR: news, chart, profile) shares move up nearly 2% to $39.52 after the company said its fiscal third-quarter net profit nearly doubled to $15.6 million, or 17 cents a share. Revenue for the period that ended on March 31 rose to $191.2 million. Analysts had forecast earnings of 36 cents a share before items on revenue of $189.9 million.
Gilead Sciences Inc. (GILD: news, chart, profile) shares gained over 2% to $37 after the company reported higher-than-expected first-quarter earnings that included a substantial one-time gain for the exercising of stock warrants in Eyetech Pharmaceuticals. See full story.
Seagate Technology (STX: news, chart, profile) shares gained over 3% to $17.98 after the company reported a third-quarter profit of $229 million, or 45 cents a share, on revenue of $1.97 billion. The company beat the estimates of analysts who forecast earnings of 37 cents a share on revenue of $1.87 billion.
In afternoon trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($INDU: news, chart, profile) closed up 56.16 points to 10,127.41, while the technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index ($COMPQ: news, chart, profile) gained 19.44 points to 1,932.36.
