I'm with BT but out of contract. I had a BT Voyager 205 router and have just swapped it for an unlocked BT 210 Voyager bought on eBay. It will handle 8Mbps without any problems - but not for me because I am too far from the exchange.
The seller was absolutely excellent. I went for an Ethernet model rather than a USB and also bought some Develo adapters. Here's the link to him:

I see he has a '210' at 14.99 + 6.50 postage or you can bid instead.
PS. A BT Voyager 205 can be got on eBay for about 2.50 so I am keeping my old one as a spare.

docproc - seems it is not the router but the shambles calling itself BT
they have not upgraded me today and have had a useless discussion with the lot in Mumbai , no matter how cheap they are , they are being paid too much!

My computer keeps crashing when I am scrolling the bb on a rival financial site (adv fn) and I don't know if it is my computer or their site.
It's a mac mini and I haven't a clue about computers so I would be really grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks, mabel.

Seeing as how your machine isn't crashing on this site, might it not be an idea to take it up with
their techies? :-)
I'd say, you either need more RAM installing or you've got some kind of software conflict going on.
:-
Here's a good Apple mac mini forum
PS. Although you can't type 'moneyam' on that site, you can type 'advfn' on this one. ;-)

Here is a reference. I am not too sure about the suggested remedies though. Have you tried running the task manager Ctrl-Alt-Del and look at processes.
It might also be worth looking at Windows Key - R and then msconfig. Look at startup routines to see if you can see it there.

Does it still occur if you start the computer in Safe mode and then shut down ?

Put MCCWAS into Google and you will come up with a few references. It seems to be something to do with the wretched BT Desktop Help updates.
EDIT Sorry, the link is MCCWSA

kevin , thanks . i had googled mccwsawin and nothing came up but on entering mccwsa i saw the reference to bthelpnotifier.exe.
removed it on startup and shutdown ok now , thanks. bthelp did not load properly from the hub disk and had to go to website for update - there does seem to be something wrong with it
any idea what this exe command does?
