How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Afternoon All,
Bit late today but seems I've missed out on betfair going down again. Not sure whether to trade or not now?

Playing around with the dutcing facility on the ManU game but could't get the draw to fill. Almost immediately ManU score and now green.
More luck than skill!

Skill no doubt.
Try dutching or bookmaking the correct score market if there is enough volume and the spread is tight enough. Practically printing money unless there is an outrageous scoreline.

Did OK in the end on all the open positions I had and the horse markets were OK today so time for some quality time with the kids now.

Just looked at the footy scores, Saints 3-0 at half time. What's going on there? Pahars scored as well, you mean he is actually fit enough to play for the first time in three seasons?

Maybe it's cos this Clifford bloke has left and they're playing and training in the traditional way!

Ah, it would be saints if they didn't have a grandstand finish, 3-2 now!

Damn, was looking for a late Charlton goal there but it never came. Will end up square over all on the match.

Bunch of wasters! That is a catastrophic collapse. I think that will kill the any patience left in Southampton supporters. No team should lose after being three goals up at home.

Redknapp out!
That just about blows our chances of getting out of the division, it's all downhill from here.

Was scalping on ManU. Just had an order filled then they score. Yet another stroke of luck!

It's no problem. A bad day for me now is when I don't make money. Did ok on the horses.
My only comfort is knowing that Portsmouth are quite likely to be relegated this year!
