It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

Oh shit Bale really is injured and has been ruled out for our last two qualifiers.

Dil - 03 Oct 2017 10:04 - 5918 of 6918

I bet fecking Vokes is fit though , lucky us :-)

Stan - 04 Oct 2017 22:40 - 5919 of 6918

Sorry Toffee fans... but goal of the season or what https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r6sXRc_BgE&feature=youtu.be

iturama - 04 Oct 2017 23:20 - 5920 of 6918

:( I thought you were all against tippy tappy. Great passing moves.

Stan - 04 Oct 2017 23:37 - 5921 of 6918

Generally yes.. specifically no 😊

iturama - 05 Oct 2017 08:44 - 5922 of 6918

Well that's a fine piece of logic Stanley. "I'm against something until it suits me not to be. But I still disapprove". Just accept that tippy tappy works if the players are clever enough to pull the opposition apart and get to the goal. As Barcelona invariably do and Burnley did in this instance. Great play wack.

Stan - 05 Oct 2017 10:54 - 5923 of 6918

Enjoy IT.. just enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r6sXRc_BgE&feature=youtu.be

Dil - 05 Oct 2017 11:12 - 5924 of 6918

I got no problem with tippy tappy football either if played in the last 3rd of the field. It's wen its played amongst the back four and midfield in the centre of the park bores me and its aimless. Makes the stats look good possession wise but goals , shots on goal are a better measure of who made the most of their possession

Think Cardiff are now averaging almost 43% possession for the season , we ever get it above 50% and we'll be unbeatable given what we do with it.

Wales have never beaten Georgia so tomorrow would be a good time to break our duck. Hope Ireland win too then it's all to play for Monday in Cardiff.

Stan - 05 Oct 2017 11:58 - 5925 of 6918

Dill, your main game is against Burnley Reserves on Monday evening of course.. maybe you like IT and CC will be lucky enough to see a goal like this scored against you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2r6sXRc_BgE&feature=youtu.be

...Not going on about it am I ? 😎

Dil - 05 Oct 2017 12:03 - 5926 of 6918

We score at least one like that every week Stan.

Go look at our goals against Leeds last Tuesday and they all better than that.

And you were playing a crap team :-)

Stan - 05 Oct 2017 12:05 - 5927 of 6918

Carduffers and Weeds.. oh that's so lower league 🤣

required field - 06 Oct 2017 11:35 - 5928 of 6918

Well England are there....good...never really that easy to qualify nowadays...I don't agree with the general stance that England had a very easy group...what ?...with Scotland/Slovakia and Slovenia ?....they are not easy to deal with...so well done England as far as getting there with a game to spare....that said there are midfield problems to be sorted...that's why defending is difficult because tracking opposing players seems to be a problem....anyway Scotland have another difficult task ahead...Northern Ireland have a big chance of getting to the finals....Wales have to win tonight against Georgia away without Gareth bale...and if they win : Ireland is waiting.....and the crazy thing is unless they clock up a lot of points and others don't : one of them might be the least best second placed team...How on earth did Fifa dream up such an unfair scenario ?.....nuts !....please change that format Mr Fifa and Uefa officials !....thanks...

Claret Dragon - 06 Oct 2017 11:55 - 5929 of 6918

FIFA are joke organization. Thursday and Sunday Internationals.

Dil - 06 Oct 2017 12:32 - 5930 of 6918

rf , if Wales win both their matches it is likely that they will qualify for the knockout stage as other teams currently second have to play the lowest placed teams in their groups and points from those matches don't count.

Even if we did qualify we would probably draw those cheating jocks who have already denied us twice with dodgy penalties. We are likely to be one of the four ranked teams if we do go through.

Could still make it if we draw tonight but that would heavily relying on others.

I'm hopeful rather than optimistic and think if we do cock it up it will be tonight not Monday.

Dil - 06 Oct 2017 14:53 - 5931 of 6918

Claret your lucky , 5pm kick off for us today. Some of mates can't get to the pub til half time !

Stan - 06 Oct 2017 16:33 - 5932 of 6918

Back to the England game it struck me the number of "slow immobile body builder" types that were in the team compared to their opponents, Walker, Stones, Henderson and Dier for example.

Claret Dragon - 06 Oct 2017 16:44 - 5933 of 6918

Xavi and Iniesta types we don't produce in UK.

Dil - 06 Oct 2017 21:18 - 5934 of 6918

We won :-)

Martini - 06 Oct 2017 21:25 - 5935 of 6918

Well done Dil one more to go.

Stan - 07 Oct 2017 16:55 - 5936 of 6918
