required field - 14 Jul 2010 13:55

It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

Carduffers and Weeds.. oh that's so lower league 🤣

Well England are there....good...never really that easy to qualify nowadays...I don't agree with the general stance that England had a very easy group...what ?...with Scotland/Slovakia and Slovenia ?....they are not easy to deal with...so well done England as far as getting there with a game to spare....that said there are midfield problems to be sorted...that's why defending is difficult because tracking opposing players seems to be a problem....anyway Scotland have another difficult task ahead...Northern Ireland have a big chance of getting to the finals....Wales have to win tonight against Georgia away without Gareth bale...and if they win : Ireland is waiting.....and the crazy thing is unless they clock up a lot of points and others don't : one of them might be the least best second placed team...How on earth did Fifa dream up such an unfair scenario ?.....nuts !....please change that format Mr Fifa and Uefa officials !....thanks...

FIFA are joke organization. Thursday and Sunday Internationals.

Dil - 06 Oct 2017 12:32 - 5930 of 6918

rf , if Wales win both their matches it is likely that they will qualify for the knockout stage as other teams currently second have to play the lowest placed teams in their groups and points from those matches don't count.

Even if we did qualify we would probably draw those cheating jocks who have already denied us twice with dodgy penalties. We are likely to be one of the four ranked teams if we do go through.

Could still make it if we draw tonight but that would heavily relying on others.

I'm hopeful rather than optimistic and think if we do cock it up it will be tonight not Monday.

Claret your lucky , 5pm kick off for us today. Some of mates can't get to the pub til half time !

Stan - 06 Oct 2017 16:33 - 5932 of 6918

Back to the England game it struck me the number of "slow immobile body builder" types that were in the team compared to their opponents, Walker, Stones, Henderson and Dier for example.

Claret Dragon - 06 Oct 2017 16:44 - 5933 of 6918

Xavi and Iniesta types we don't produce in UK.

Dil - 06 Oct 2017 21:18 - 5934 of 6918

We won :-)

Martini - 06 Oct 2017 21:25 - 5935 of 6918

Well done Dil one more to go.

Stan - 07 Oct 2017 16:55 - 5936 of 6918

Dil you forgot to tell us about this programme about a Welsh hero http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/live/bbcone

Dil - 08 Oct 2017 10:42 - 5937 of 6918

I'm not going to click on it but I!m guessing it's the one I saw a trailer for last week.

We have to win tomorrow and if that clown sets us up to defend and try a nick a goal from a set piece or lucky break then he's playing right into Ireland's hands.

Despite him and his negative tactics and team selection we can still do it.

I would have settled for this opportunity at the start of the campaign.

Dil - 08 Oct 2017 10:51 - 5938 of 6918

And good luck to Scotland , would love to knock those cheating tw@ts out in the play offs after robbing us of qualification unfairly twice in the past.

Hand of God was invented by Joe Jordan not Maradonna and to this day he is still detested in Wales.

Can't believe Scotland didn't win....was certain they'd get that vital needed win.....I just hope they retain Gordon Strachan.....the man has passion...full of it...priceless....and the team has improved...much to do...but he should stay...anyway...did not see the game but England won again.....becoming like Arsenal in the George Graham days...one-nil...one-nil....

Stan - 08 Oct 2017 20:39 - 5941 of 6918

I couldn't disagree more with all you say about Strachan, I think he's been and is a lousy manager after a very distinguished playing career.

Chris Carson - 08 Oct 2017 22:35 - 5942 of 6918

Nah, fair play Stan poisoned chalice that job. David Moyes is free(again) hope for their sake he's not in the running. :0)

Dil - 09 Oct 2017 10:56 - 5943 of 6918

Woo hoo big day has arrived.

Dil - 09 Oct 2017 11:24 - 5944 of 6918

Just heard that for our anthem we have done away with the band , choir , singer , music and it will be left for the fans to get on and sing it themselves.

This will be awesome.

Stan - 09 Oct 2017 11:25 - 5945 of 6918

No Dill the big day was last night when the England team qualified.. please keep up now.

Stan - 09 Oct 2017 11:27 - 5946 of 6918
