MELDEX. Double your money- quicktime. (MDX)

kitosdad - 12 Dec 2007 16:20

The engines have fired up at last for MDX. ( BPRG ) At long last they are being recognised for the force they will become over the next two years. On the cusp of disclosing huge revenue-earning deals with Global pharmacists. These have been hinted at as being unrolled before the years end, but may be in the next days. You still have time to get in at a bargain-basement price before the SP takes off for real shortly.

SCRUTABLE - 15 Jan'09 - 01:58 - 38482 of 38504

I appreciate that BJM/GC are the only team left with the remotest chance of saving shareholders assets, but the future needs to be built on truth, so I must clear a piece of misinformation which has been repeated so often that it bids to replace the facts:

m5 - 12 Jan'09 - 21:50 - 37725 of 38480

.....DF and RT saw a once in a lifetime opportunity and ruthlessly exploited it to their advantage. Getting hold of an AIM company with 14 million cash (as BJM has reported here) and with no institutions to be answerable to...

Yes BPRG did have 14.4m cash at 31/12/04 but what Barry carefully omits to clarify each time, is that under GH (with Barry at arm's length, consulting) the company was losing close to 1m/month and the cash position, falling at a similar rate, was down six months later to 8.8m and bottomed out at 6.5m before the rot was stopped. BJM's strategy of licensing the IP in pursuit of royalties had been a complete failure. Six years after flotation Revenue had had only reached the derisory level of 200,000/month. During those years, Barry and Graham Hind together lost 27m for the company.

RT who has come in for a great deal of stick, and is understandably unpopular, nevertheless did slash costs, changed the strategy and thereby effected a substantial turnround. Good acquisitions of Dexo and Rocgel were followed by the mistake, which was to wreck the company: not only buying Melbrosin but agreeing a price based on an easily fiddled earnout, and worse still, inviting those two charming Viennese poachers onto a board stuffed with the lazy gamekeepers at MDX.

If Barry is as intelligent as his supporters make him out to be, and more so than I have seen, he will have learned a lot and be willing to change a lot. I hope so for the sake of all PIs and not least for Barry's own sake, but I would love to know what those changes are likely to be.

He could do worse than re-entice the exactly qualifiedThomas Engelen back into the CEO's position, but restrict his own heavyweight influence to the funding, the financial controls and reporting systems, where he has already demonstrated that his talents lie.

He should absolutely refrain from meddling in the marketing and let TE or his equal get on with it

tabasco - 15 Jan 2009 08:29 - 5939 of 8631
