The UKIP candidate's fly sheet for our ward's Northampton Borough Council election is a belter of enlightenment.

The only trouble is, we had voted the day (or was it two days before it arrived through our letter box, by post).

Here's just some of what he has to say on it:

"Our Borough Council is made up of 45 councillors all paid a minimum of £6,000 per year, yet all the decisions are made by a small, select well paid group, known as the Cabinet. Their decisions are then passed with little or no meaningful debate by the other Conservative councillors who sit in the chamber likke nodding dogs.

If elected, we are committed to seeing the return of a Committee System of council management so that the voices of all the councillors can be heard when decisions affecting the town are being made.

We will also introduce local referendums which will be triggered when 20% of the town population present a petition to request one. This will mean, that when we are faced with future vanity projects which the people of the town do not want, like the new bus station, there will be a mechanism in place to stop them."

"We currently pay for two sets of councillors as well as some duplication of officers and employees. We in UKIP will work to see the town will become a Unitary Authority to significantly reduce costs and place all services under one body as shown in an adjacent table. He has much more to say all along similar lines. He is called Michael Jones and he standing as a UKIP candidate for Nene Valley Ward, Northampton Borough Council. Although I didn't vote for him, I sincerely do hope he gets elected and UKIP get a lot of seats.

I reckon a piece on the front of the Telegraph, about how polluting deisel cars are, has just cost everyone owning one of them at least £2-£5,000.

Brown pushed us to use deisel engined cars because they produce less CO2. What he didn't tell us is that they produce 2x more NO2 than petrol engines and 10x more particulates.

The EU is going to fine the government if it doesn't do something about it.

Stand by for heavy taxation on deisel engined cars!

I reckon, that in 5 yrs time there will be 50% less of them on our roads and in 10 yrs time, there won't be any!

The last of Ashcroft’s polls was in Thanet South, the seat being contested by Nigel Farage. There has been substantial polling in this seat, with recent Survation polls commissioned by UKIP donor Alan Bown showing a solid lead for Nigel Farage and other polling by ComRes showing a tight three way race between Conservative, Labour and UKIP. Ashcroft found a tight race between Conservative and UKIP, with the Tories just three points ahead, but Labour now clearly back in third place –

Yes EL, we have had them installed and they have been generating very well, if your house is in the right area/conditions then fitting them is a no brainer!

I don't have solar at the moment EL.

The Conservative Party is leading Labour by five points, the latest poll suggests.

With one week to go until the election, the monthly Ipsos MORI survey for the Evening Standard newspaper suggests the Tories are on 35% with Labour trailing on 30%.

It shows a reversal of fortunes for the two main parties compared to the previous Ipsos MORI poll on 16 April, which suggested Labour had a two-point lead.

The latest survey - conducted between 26 and 28 April - suggests the Lib Dems climbed to 8%, up one point from last month's poll, while UKIP remained unchanged on 10%.

The Greens also remained steady on 8%.

We did have the scaffolding already up for other work up so you will have to add that on. Say £500 approx.

We went for the more robust Norwegian panels that cope better with the heat and cold extremes that we will expect in the future, the extremes will not affect the generating output of these panels.
