And it's banging on my next line of resistance :)

bakko - 13 Sep 2006 18:43 - 5942 of 11056

I'm banging my head against the wall!

Having exited a long position for a modest profit as needing to leave work it duly heads north by 20 ticks a mere minute later :-(

Seymour Clearly - 13 Sep 2006 20:41 - 5943 of 11056

Same here Bakko, except I got out at 43 :-(

Harlosh - 14 Sep 2006 08:51 - 5944 of 11056

Morning.

Well I'm long at the moment but the Retail sales figures at 9.30 are a concern. Given Next's poor performance figures in its retail shops the other day I can't see the overall figures being too good which may push Cable lower to perhaps even test recent lows around 8600. So I shall close my long before the news.

Not long to find out anyway.

Harlosh - 14 Sep 2006 09:31 - 5945 of 11056

Back to the drawing board :-))

chocolat - 14 Sep 2006 10:32 - 5946 of 11056

That's a shame Harlosh.
I'd say there's a bit of support currently around 1.8765 on any weakness.

Harlosh - 14 Sep 2006 11:33 - 5947 of 11056

I'm short now Choccie - stop above 835

Harlosh - 14 Sep 2006 11:49 - 5948 of 11056

and out - not getting it right today I'm afraid.

chocolat - 14 Sep 2006 12:05 - 5949 of 11056

There's a bit of resistance here, 1.8850s - if my lines are any good, ultimately another 70 points or so from here would be nice.

hilary - 14 Sep 2006 12:59 - 5950 of 11056

Here's one for MM and the patternmeisters:

Bull targets above include 1.8900, an approximate 61.8% Fibo retracement point of the fall from 1.9092 (Aug 31 high).

:o)

Seymour Clearly - 14 Sep 2006 13:16 - 5951 of 11056

Hmm, only 120 points above my close position, and my stop would have held. I have much to learn ;-)

goforit - 14 Sep 2006 13:51 - 5952 of 11056

Haven't got a longer term position as I'm back in uk most of next week (no broadband connection) and probably on the golf course tomorrow.

Cable looks nice on a four hour chart, could be a channel forming(at the top of it at the moment 1.8875) and seems to be riding the 13 ema nicely.
No advice etc............

chocolat - 14 Sep 2006 21:41 - 5953 of 11056

Well I missed my target by one pip :o)
Anyway, out of Monday's longs at 1.8910.
That'll do for now.

I always did prefer drawing to sums ;)

Harlosh - 15 Sep 2006 07:57 - 5954 of 11056

Morning all - Cable looking very overbought this morning so looking for a short perhaps.

Seymour Clearly - 15 Sep 2006 08:00 - 5955 of 11056

Morning Harlosh, I was also wondering the same....

Nice trade Choccy :-)

hilary - 15 Sep 2006 08:01 - 5956 of 11056

It's not a short yet, imo, H. That view might change during the course of the day.

bakko - 15 Sep 2006 08:16 - 5957 of 11056

Morning All, Missed all the fireworks yesterday as pc wouldnt boot up :-(

Harlosh - 15 Sep 2006 08:16 - 5958 of 11056

OK, just watching at the moment anyway Hilary.

Morning Seymour and yes, well done Choc.

hilary - 15 Sep 2006 08:27 - 5959 of 11056

For weeks now, pages hang for ages (up to 3 minutes sometimes!) when loading. It happens on different PC's and with different browsers (Opera & IE) which seems to rule out a problem at my end. It only happens with am and not with any other web site.

Ian, are you aware of this problem?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 15 Sep 2006 08:34 - 5960 of 11056

Hilary,

I have not experienced anything similar here - is it any particular page you are trying to access? Are the machines you are using connected or stand alone. Do they have the same firewall? If so it could be a setting on there caused by an update (I am speculating of course) Without looking at the machines, it is hard to tell what is causing this problem at your end.

Ian
