Notice the lack of "Holdings in Company" RNSs - now where are all those institutional holders ? ;-)

treikiman - 15 Jun 2005 12:43 - 5969 of 27111

Food for thought. Being a lover of Salmon Fillets which i stopped buying from Sainsburys about 6 months ago because packaging looked terrible, and the fish always looked like it was sweating.
To me this was a Sainsbury product, typical buy one get one free. Today decided to look again out of interest and found a complete new packaging for the Salmon with a big label on saying a Youngs product. It has a complete new tray and appeared to be covered with a Vacuum pack? The whole product looked 90% better than it did before and leek free. Whereas the old product had a very poor tray and just sealed along the top which always seem to vulnerable to leaking. I thought this might be of interest to all. Maybe somebody in Packaging might comment

Yes jimmy - if I see they get more than 700 orders then onwards - if its just a trickle and struggle to get 100 or 200 then its down and out.

The Biotec deal if it goes ahead will certainly be bad news - it will not work IMO - these kind of things just do not work - loss making buys loss making in the HOPE of doing this and that - not good.

It would be better for SE0 if the deal was off and they kept the money.

bosley - 15 Jun 2005 12:46 - 5971 of 27111

holdings in company rns' only get declared if the holding is above 3%. like everyone , i think institutions want more orders. ii, i haven't seen the heavy ramping you speak of. could you point it out , please? stateside, what rumours? please try to keep rumour bollocks off this thread....good or bad.

driver - 15 Jun 2005 12:49 - 5972 of 27111

jimmy
You know I don't talk to ii, but what I think he is saying is that FROGPACK, GREENSEAL, CRADLEWRAP doesn't exist and SEO didn't make an acquisition of Biotec.
When the truth comes out the sp is going to 4p, blimmy thats generous I would have thought the company would have gone under.

jimmy b - 15 Jun 2005 12:50 - 5973 of 27111

YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST 11'S IN THE MIDDLE, I knew you.d come round in the end

driver - 15 Jun 2005 12:50 - 5974 of 27111

bos
bollocks what is this word?

bosley - 15 Jun 2005 12:51 - 5975 of 27111

lol. i just have a thing against rumours.

jimmy b - 15 Jun 2005 12:53 - 5976 of 27111

Well i better not tell you my theory about Elvis then.

insiderinside - 15 Jun 2005 12:55 - 5977 of 27111

bos - the half a million holder - and stateside on here - other BBs much more going on now - all at the same time - Moneyam is as always nearly devoid of it - but creeping in here and there.

jimmy - middle yes - inclined for it being all hype - not so inclined on it all being true.

Weak times - interims coming - I have said before - in the abscence of big orders if I was holding I would have got out and wait until interims are clear or a big (over 100 at least ) order comes in.

Buyouts always results in weakness - I would have sold if not before then as soon as they made the announcement of paying 25M US$ for a loss making company in which they only HOPE they can achieve something.

insiderinside - 15 Jun 2005 12:57 - 5978 of 27111

Its quite normal one person posts a rumour on one site - then under a different name they copy and past to another BB and say "look what I saw on MoneyAM".

Normal tricks.

bosley - 15 Jun 2005 13:02 - 5979 of 27111

the 500k holder and ss made two short statements. that hardly constitutes heavy ramping. as you say mam is pretty much devoid of it which is why most of us are here and not on other bbs. we also like it devoid of ott bashing and deramping , which is why you were the subject of everyones abuse. much prefer your new style of posting which is more thread specific, has a point and doesn't get on your tits as much.

stockdog - 15 Jun 2005 13:02 - 5980 of 27111

I agree treikiman - I hate leeks with salmon. Are Youngs allowed to supply Sainsbury with the new packaging under ASDA's exclusive deal?

Bos - I think Stateside's rumour was meant to be useful - i.e. look out for a possible RNS at 2.30pm. Recently in Cannes, sitting on the Carlton Hotel terrace, I started a rumour about a company with whom I had a meeting in an hour's time. The rumour went all the way round the terrace and came back to me. I went to the meeting and arrived to find the rumour had become true. Made me feel very powerful - but spooky, know what I mean dahlin's!

sd

bosley - 15 Jun 2005 13:05 - 5981 of 27111

sd, no would be the answer. but in reality , how could asda monitor it?

jimmy b - 15 Jun 2005 13:09 - 5982 of 27111

Quite easily bosley, a rep for Asda would just walk in and buy a pack , when i was in sales and marketing we used to do this sort of thing all the time.

Chiva20 - 15 Jun 2005 13:12 - 5983 of 27111

Bos - to be fair II is a cynical old tart. There's little that can be gleaned from his posts other than increasingly manipulative ways of winning trust so he can cast doubt.

If he could back up his comments without ridiculing himself with proposterous claims of SEO armageddon he might get some semblence of credibility. Until then he's regarded as a nuisance to me.

bosley - 15 Jun 2005 13:16 - 5984 of 27111

sd, go on. tell us what the rumour was?
chiva, fair enough.

stockdog - 15 Jun 2005 13:27 - 5985 of 27111

For those who like statistics, the current retracement from 28.5 to 22.5p is 21.05% - very similar to that in February from 17.0 to 13.25p, 22.05%.

So the SP is at least consistently volatile.

hewittalan6 - 15 Jun 2005 13:30 - 5986 of 27111

consistently volatile!! i like that one. got a copright on it SD??

If it's worth something, yes! If I see it on BRPG's thread I will immediately issue a writ.
