Tadpole Evolves (TAD)

ainsoph - 23 May 2003 13:32

A new thread that may swim in hibernation for a few days or weeks as the process of evolution takes place ......

Imagine a slimmed down debt free company with one division stacked with orders and self financing with cash in the bank.

Then imagine a partner for the other division with pockets so deep that they could fund a rocket to the moon ..... and back

Dreaming of course but Tads can do that to you ..... what a gem or is that a bygone dream as well .....

"Win win" situation Now i know what B.Hulme ment!!!! Sold 50% of my holdings first thing ,bought at 5p Don't give a toss which way they go. Make money on the way up-make money on the way down. Hope the Company does well though.

MightyMicro - 02 Aug 2003 01:00 - 601 of 729

Is this a good time to admit that I know B Hulme quite well?

Mr Martini (sophisticated investor) -- which one of can plaice our hand on our hearts and say that we haven't made a mistake in life? I promise not to mention All*gr*s.

Sequestor,

you appear to have me confused with a poster on advfnnnn who also calls you a bullshi**er. Sorry pin brain (mild abuse apologies Ian) but he is not me. Looks like you are suffering from the same parinoia as snappy, who BTW has sensibly not replied to my earlier post.

macCavity - 02 Aug 2003 19:12 - 603 of 729

Methinks someone is playing with you sequestor and you seem to be falling for it hook, line and sinker! Ha Ha Ha.

Mighty Micro, can you share with us why BH resigned?

MacCavity- given that you seem to have nothing to add the Tads debate, then I for one would appreciate it if you would shut it and melt away.
The 'he started it' line might serve you well in the school playground son, but looks somewhat pathetic on a financial BB.
As my old friend Tris would say - grow up!

Clarvis

PS HI Tris- no solid news yet, but plenty of rumours doing the rounds. Has the tads 'A' button broken?!

macCavity - 03 Aug 2003 22:03 - 610 of 729

Clarvis,

perhaps you will direct me to the posts you have made that add to the TAD debate? Can't think of any? Thought so son, now get along and sharpen your pencil.

Kindest regards.

Clarvis Spicer - 04 Aug 2003 09:28 - 611 of 729

MacCavity- I'm not going to get involved in a bitching debate with the likes of yourselves and the other idiots.
Perhaps you are correct, I am unable to add significantly to the debate, due to my lesser technical knowledge, however I did use this BB as a learning tool.
The derisory comments from the likes of yourself are one of the reasons that I have not posted for several months, and will not bother doing so again.
All the best kiddo.
Clarvis

macCavity - 04 Aug 2003 14:21 - 612 of 729

Hate to say it again Clervis....but you started it! I am happy never to have to debate with you again.

This is from the end of June:

LONDON (AFX) - Tadpole Technology PLC said it expects to record a substantially reduced operating loss in the second half of this financial year compared with the first half and it looks forward with confidence to a further improvement in operating results during 2004.

Is there a chance that one day in the future they may actually manage to trade a profit, rather than a substantially reduced operating loss??? With the widening losses will it make any difference!

Does anyone think that the board is able to turn this loss making company around, or are they just seeing how far they can take it before someone gets fed up and wind's the company up!

snappy - 04 Aug 2003 15:44 - 614 of 729

They are always reliant on issuing more and more equity at reduced prices to fund working capital.

At some point they will either start to make money or find it near enough impossible to raise fresh capital.

It's remarkable how much extra capital they have been able to fleece from loyal shareholders over the years. The directors will be sitting on a nice gain after getting shares issued below market price earlier this year.

I do get the feeling that this company will fail eventually but am ready to be proved wrong over the longer term.
