Desire Petroleum are drilling in Falklands (DES)

<>Desire Petroleum plc (Desire) is a UK company listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) dedicated to exploring for oil and gas in the North Falkland Basin.

Desire has recently completed a 6 well exploration programme. The Liz well encountered dry gas and gas condensate at 2 separate levels while other wells recorded shows.
Together with the Rockhopper Exploration Sea Lion oil discovery in the licence to the north, these wells have provided significant encouragement for the potential of the North Falkland Basin. The oil at Sea Lion is of particular interest as this has demonstrated that oil is trapped in potentially significant quantities in a fan sandstone on the east flank of the basin. It is believed that over 50% of this east flank play fairway is on Desire operated acreage.

Desire has now completed new 3D seismic acquisition which provides coverage over the east flank play, Ann, Pam and Helen prospects. The results from fast-track processing of priority areas are provided in the 2011 CPR. A farm-out to Rockhopper has been announced. The revised equities are shown on the licence map (subject to regulatory approval and completion of the farm-in well).

+5p is not going remotely mad .... furthermore, buyers and sellers are now pretty much balanced though volume is exceptionally heavy ... however, that could just as easily be bears taking juicy profits

Proselenes - 30 Dec 2010 13:34 - 6000 of 6492

Pump and dump ?

chav - 30 Dec 2010 13:49 - 6001 of 6492

cynic - 30 Dec 2010 13:56 - 6002 of 6492

the rumour, from wherever it came, looks to be built from dust - bit like DES's results to date - and sp is already slipping back

markymar - 30 Dec 2010 14:07 - 6003 of 6492

Are you lot having problems with viewing the pages ?....not getting anything except the blogs....

Proselenes - 30 Dec 2010 15:03 - 6006 of 6492

I have made this simple "Oil Map of the North Falklands Basin", its quite easy to follow, simply follow the red arrows to find the oil migration from the green coloured kitchen area......

Hope it helps ;) (tongue in cheek)......

For those wondering why RKH have not got into the new rig contract yet, it appears Arcadia not going ahead with their 2 slots has allowed RKH to take them and therefore the rig is still under the old contract for perhaps another 5 months.

As explained below, excuse the typo in there.... :)

Arcadia is probably deciding not to drill yet looking at DES abyssmal results

Pro get a life....2009...when i see an RNS, if not stop deramping....hlyeo you are a twit of a bloke

required field - 31 Dec 2010 08:08 - 6010 of 6492

Up a bit.....surprise...surprise....it's just the thing that would happen....a discovery when nobody was expecting one perhaps ?...

hlyeo98 - 31 Dec 2010 08:17 - 6011 of 6492

There will be no discovery at Dawn... mark my words ... it's just a false dawn now.

Proselenes - 31 Dec 2010 08:20 - 6012 of 6492

Proselenes is totally right

markymar - 31 Dec 2010 08:31 - 6014 of 6492

Pro Why you may not hold the shares but blatantly been trying to de ramp the last few days any creditability you may hold is going out the windowthat is from 2009 we are a day from 20011.

The last AGM desire said there was no problems about Acadia for filling there commitments until an RNS you are just scare mongering.

Hlyeo you are still a twit every one knows the chance of finding oil is 8% which is slim ..but there is always a chance hence I hold.

HARRYCAT - 31 Dec 2010 08:33 - 6015 of 6492

8% chance! .....hence I don't hold.

Proselenes - 31 Dec 2010 08:36 - 6016 of 6492

marky, it is quite basic common sense.

There are 3 remaining options left.

RKH have been given 2 and DES may want one.

This means there are zero options left, so how are Arcadia going to do their two ? It means that, for now, they have decided the timing is not right and do not wish to go ahead, if they wanted to go ahead then those 2 options given to RKH would not have been given would they ?

Now, I have not said they have pulled out full stop and goodbye, I have said they have decided not to go ahead with the 2 potential options on the current rig contract, the ones that have been given to RKH.

You are very edgy marky ??? Are you under stress ?
