Just checking if any one else suffered any problems last Friday with the crazy markets and executing trades ,

Dealer , it is the Barc trades I am interested in , I and one or two others had some confusion with trades

I meant the Barclays site not trades on the company itself. No idea about them but in general there were many problems executing any trades at all so you were not alone. I lost a whole load of profit because I couldn't trade. Luckily managed to get most of it back on Monday but no thanks to my broker.

just phone head of dept at IG .... i am sure you will find them very helpful ..... furthermore, all calls are recorded should you feel miffed for any good reason

cynic and all traders with IG , after speaking with IG . it appears that there were several trades and traders that suffered through "an IT issue " last Friday on BARC.

The upshot of it is , that I placed trades , that went through and received confirmation , these were then reversed as the prices "were not good " and I was left with my original open position in a falling market.

IG are not prepared to make any amends to the trades and consequently I am left with my original open position , that I would have closed out at 390 on Friday .

Beware traders it seems ...

hmm! ..... i would not be at all happy if that was me and am surpsied at IG's response, though I have not heard their side ...... confess that quite often I phone to deal, but that is for a number of reasons
