Like the look of this. Announced Placing at 48p yesterday to raise approx 5M to develop the business. Now has one main operating business, Hayward Tyler, based in Luton and with solid track record over many years. Designs and makes mission critical components for power generation and offshore oil and gas markets. Recently announced new orders from India and China - and an Indian company MBE Minerals has bought 12% over recent months (not sure if they have taken part in the Placing). Sales in half year to June were 18M, operating profit 1.2M. EPS from continuing trade 2.3p in the half. IMO they should be able to make much more if compared to peers like Weir/Rotork and 5p for this year should be comfortably achievable, with prospects for significant uplift next year. Takeover prospects look in it for nothing. Balance sheet will be much strengthened by the new equity - it seems clear that previous history as Nviro has impacted on their ability to borrow. Illiquid, so maybe not for traders. Also not for the faint hearted, but I hold with more expectation than most. Always DYOR.

Had a good couple of weeks and more nibbling this morning. Have a warm feeling about this. Now 68p.

Now 85p with narrower spread. Exceeded expectations so far, but imo still looks decent value on fundamentals.

Looks like takeover offer coming...

Still hold at paper loss over 50%, so not proud of this one. Thankfully only a modest play, but should learn to stick with quality. Major Indian shareholder MBE has just bought another 10 million new shares at 50p, but share price languishes at less than half that. Are MBE daft, or am I missing something which some of you clever guys out there can tell me?
