Ok, so I need to go for a walk and have a think. any thoughts appreciated.
FTSE has run up to 7800 but most of my stocks have not risen with anything like the strength of that rise as the rise is driven by commodities (oil). I have mostly construction, banks and property.
However, my stocks are up and some of the rises are decent enough. I've sold a tiny amount so far.
I am trying to decide whether to sell some more. AV. for example I bought at 494 including costs and it's now 570 if I add the dividend. That's 15% in a couple of months, yet I feel the tone of the market has changed. In the scheme of things 15% could just be the start of the rise, but on the other hand 15% is nice enough if I can do rinse and repeat.
My stocks which are going up fastest I don't want to sell. I have a much higher level of conviction on their value.
My gut feel is the market is going to continue up, as the economic data will improve, so that tells me to sit tight and do nothing.
Doing nothing is hard work!

I cancelled my limit sell @7800 and will have to consult the runes (excel) again.
BP. and the recovering utilities are responsible for most of my recent gains.
BP is now (again) my biggest holding followed by PHNX & NG.

I've been for a walk and once again decided to sit tight and do nothing and let my investment portfolio look after itself for the moment.

Well good morning. In today's plan I would like to see LLOY close over 67, RBS hit 300 and AV, hit 550.
I think I will need some help from the Dow which has been floundering the last couple of days.
It's taken 6 days but AV. has hit 550, LLoy is over 67 again but hasn't yet closed there.
RBS gettting there...

Morning all.
AV. couldn't hold 550, LLoy couldn't hold 67 and RBS isn't getting any closer to 300.
I'm optimistic though
