marketmakers

gardyne - 06 Oct 2003 20:24

Since i returned to shares recently one thing that is really getting on my nerves is the marketmakers.Okay,so they have a living to make just like the rest of us but not only are the spreads bigger, they manipulate the prices worse. In the last two weeks i have watched a number of shares registering big volume buys and not progressing for whatever reason. What are your views and can we do without the middleman ?

go online and only trade SETS stocks. as advfn advertises BUY ON THE BID, SELL ON THE OFFER

washlander - 07 Oct 2003 23:45 - 9 of 10

Not all SET stocks have tight spreads, see AZM for example. Very wide spread.

wasnt suggesting they were washlander
but VERY often you can find a spread of 0.1p or less. a traders dream
