Dear Santa.. (XMAS)

stockbunny - 11 Dec 2003 13:25

As we are approaching Christmas fairly quickly now, a
fun festive thread for those who want to dream a little..

Suppose Santa was prepared to leave in your christmas
stocking a share certificate - just one for 10,000 shares
Which one company would you choose????

Majestic wine maybe or someone who can wow you with great
share-holder perks or a heavyweight divi payer or maybe a
speculative punt on something to grow.......

bush - 11 Dec 2003 13:50 - 6 of 20

I would ask Santa to extend his generosity and let every man, woman and child have 10,000 shares in Christmas plc, purely because I'm that kind of guy.

Once he agreed

I would short the stock

Ho Ho Ho Merry Xmas!

stockbunny - 11 Dec 2003 14:03 - 7 of 20

Yeah bush!!! - Brilliant suggestion, I really like that one!!!
And a happy Christmas to you!!

stockbunny - 11 Dec 2003 14:21 - 8 of 20

After some consideration I'd ask for Greggs (GRG)
The shares pay a nice fat dividend (approx.72p)the price moves so
chance of an additional profit and maybe there could be
some discounted share-holder perks - would make lunchtimes
less expensive!!

i would ask for astrazeneca

as santa only comes once a year

perhaps viagra or a generic will help the share price

stockbunny - 11 Dec 2003 15:02 - 11 of 20

Interesting idea that one - imagine the share holder perks...
That might appeal to the gentlemen (lol)

stockbunny - 11 Dec 2003 15:07 - 14 of 20

True..but would you WANT the season ticket?????

Fundamentalist - 11 Dec 2003 15:14 - 15 of 20

i think arsenal are about 1400 per share - that'll do for me after last nights result

stockbunny - 11 Dec 2003 15:24 - 16 of 20

And share holder perks of a box plus catering laid on with
the compulsory season ticket and scarf - they did well last
night I presume (not an Arsenal fan you see, so dense in such
matters...)

briangrant - 11 Dec 2003 16:44 - 17 of 20

I think that I would have to buy Berkshire at $83,000 per share
Then it could be Christmas or summer or whatever you want
all year round.

stockbunny - 14 Dec 2003 13:07 - 18 of 20

Berkshire as in the county?
Hmmm...ambitious...

Juzzle - 14 Dec 2003 13:22 - 19 of 20

Not so ambitious - I thing Berkshire Hathaway is bigger than Berkshire county!

stockbunny - 15 Dec 2003 13:26 - 20 of 20

gee...I'd have to take your word for that...
((blushes due to ignorance of the matter...))
